Had a great time putting clients on some great fishing. The mahi bite has been strong and its always great to be able send our guests home with a cooler full of meat!

With the large amount of boats around the area and flat calm seas True Grit was able to get all of our charter guests a fish to remember! We ended up catching 5 amberjack and had a massive bull shark all they way up to the boat until the line parted! We have been able to consistently catch amberjack from a few wrecks close to the inlet. These fish are some of the hardest fighters in the ocean and these wrecks hold large bull sharks and even massive Warsaw Grouper. Had a great trip on Friday with some great clients. Adam and Meredith brought two friends and were set on getting Adam a sailfish for his birthday. We started our day by running north until we found a great current rip with a big color change. When we got our lines out within five minutes, there he was, sailfish. Adam fought a full grown sailfish and we safely released him. after setting back up we got several more bites through out the day catching an array of species from king mackerel to bonito and also had a decent blackfin tuna during the last moments of the charter. Bite is on and the weather is warm!
