My colleague and I totally enjoyed the short trip.  We flew into John Wayne in the morning prior to a conference and only had limited time available.  This was the perfect outing for the time we had.  I only wish I had more time so we could have gone after bigger fish.  However, Captain Nick put us on fish and we caught them.  Only problem was the Seal Lions.  But, that is the nature of Ocean fishing in California. Captain Nick and his deckhand Glenn were both great to go out on the water with.  They educated us, taught us techniques, baited hooks for us, and were good with our kids too.  Captain nick’s boat is very nice and is large enough to not feel so squashed on a boat with your family.  It also helps to be a little less sea sick than on a small boat.  Enjoy a trip with captain nick. He is a gentleman and loves to see you enjoy your time on the water.

Captain Nick was very welcoming, it was my dad’s 80th birthday present and on his bucket list to go Marlin fishing in Dana Point California. He went above and beyond bringing a cake with balloons which was very nice and tasted delicious🎂 We saw several dolphins which was incredible to watch. Thank you for the wonderful experience we will be coming back again and recommending you 😎☀️🎣 🐬

My great uncle was here from out of state and want to go fishing. I contacted Capt. Nick and told him we were more interested in catching fish than any specific species. Capt. nick came through, and in a short 4 hour afternoon trip. we caught 85 calico bass, along with sand bass, sheephead, and barracuda. Capt. Nick and his first mate took great care of us, and were a lot of fun! Highly recommended!

We booked the trip to spend time with a customer, we all had a great day. Captain Nick and Deck Hand Andrew were the best, they made sure all were ready to catch fish and more importantly enjoy trying !
