The captain and his helper did everything you can expect to help us catch fish. The only thing disappointing about the trip was there was bad weather all around, the waves were really bad, we still went a good distance out and ended up cutting the trip short because my son and grandson were sick. I myself started getting nausia. My opinion the trip should have been rescheduled due to weather conditions or cancelled all together. Or at least not gone so far out in rough water.

We are sorry that you and your entire crew got sea sick while out.

Although we do send out a link to information on what to expect and you may need. With that you said it was everyone’s first time out and that is always a possibility for new clients, and none of your crew took motion sickness prevention. As well, I never do so but I only charged you for a 4 hour trip instead of the 6hr trip that was booked.

As well please understand that we run every chance that is possible and safe to fish. In which that morning was only 2 foot swells and we have fished many days in those conditions. When you book a charter we do our best to satisfy clients but this time of year we have no openings to move clients or reschedule. With that said I would love to have every client be able to fish lake like conditions but in the Gulf of Mexico that’s just not a reality.

Next time you book a guide of any kind please understand that our family survives from running trips at every opportunity available. Please understand everything you are getting into and be ready and prepared before you book. As guides our bills don’t stop just because weather isn’t suitable to your liking.

We had a great time fishing with Captain Cody. and Graham the first mate. Very friendly staff that worked hard to get you on fish to catch. The boat handled the rough surf well and would recommend going out with these guys. Will do it again when we come back to the area.

What a fun and successful fishing day! This was our first time out deep sea fishing. What a great way to spend a beautiful day. Cody has a clean and beautiful boat. He did a great job helping us real in some sure to be tasty fish. Our phrase for the afternoon seemed to be “14 1/2” Surely that means next year they will be “16’s” 🎣.
