Summer is knocking on the door. Time to go chase trout and redfish! Schools of drum will be popping up as well. Lets go chase your personal best or make sure you have some tasty dinners on the hook!

Sometimes a birthday cake is in order but this time it was birthday filets! As March starts to hit the back half the redfish come first in line! Slipping up into the flats to warm up with the water, their hunger is following them as well. Easily the hardest fighter in the bay they are my favorite species to chase. So quit wishin, lets go fishin!

Wintertime fishing for most people doesn’t roll off the tongue with the same excitement as summer fishing. But if you haven’t been on the coast during the winter you are missing out. Fewer people in town, fewer boats on the water and different styles of fishing make it a great time to fish in and out of the boat. It’s time to go wading for large trout with lures, schools of reds and drum are hanging out just off the flats with low tides. Get on the calendar and lets get to fishing!

Summer time and trout go hand in hand, croaker are finally the perfect size for bait, as well as large balls of shad are moving in. Redfish are lining up in the flats again. This summer is going to be another great stretch of fishing. Get on the books and lets get on the water!

It feels great to be leaving the jackets and deck boots in the closet. Nice warm days, some windy, some not but plenty of fishing options for any weather Texas spring time likes to send our way! With the natural water rise every spring we are seeing big full body reds moving in from the gulf following menhaden. Spawning sheepshead off deep structure as well. Its a great time of year to get on the water and start chasing some fish!

As much as those overcast dreary days may take the beauty out of the day. They are just what the doctor ordered for winter fishing on the coast! Dropping temps are lining up not only the fish but our tasty festhered friends as well. Big schools of redfish up in the flats to chase out of the airboat or get out and wade with plastics. We are entering into the split between duck season, once opening back up we’re expecting really strong numbers of birds in the Rockport to Port Aransas area. Plenty of open dates for December and January are still open. Get in contact and lets get on the water!
