I will say we caught a lot of fish by trolling for Spanish mackerel. If that had been part of the day, just to ensure we caught something, that would be fine, but it was the only technique used and the only thing he was equipped to do.  We were scheduled for five fours, but we were ready to come back in after two hours.

Part of the experience of a fishing charter is learning about the area, the wildlife and fishing techniques and none off that happened. I felt like Captain Merrill has done this for a long time and completely “phoned it in”. He was gruff and not communicative.  I felt more like we were on a commercial fishing operation than a family outing.  Given the cost I can’t imagine anyone would feel this trip was good value.

I have been on many fishing trips with my family, including a number of trips where we caught nothing or the weather was bad and this was the only truly unpleasant outing.

we tried to book a fishing trip out of wancheese marina and i called there.  this stupid booker site sent us to a captain 40 mies away, took my deposit, was crap with details, and ruined a trip with my son and 4 granssons.  piece of s-it site and experience!!!!
