Had a great time with Captain Ryan and 1st mate Alan. The boys caught the limit in fish. Ryan was very good at working with us on the best time to go out. We had booked a Thursday to go but as the time approached Ryan suggested we go on Wednesday to optimize fishing conditions. I would recommend these guys!

Capt Ryan and Alan could not have been a better team!  My family came to visit from Texas and wanted an offshore fishing trip and oh boy did we get a great one.    I had never caught mackerel before, but I do love to eat them.  Caught several mackerel and Spanish mackerel plus Bonita.  Was perfect and my son and nephew talked about it all the rest of the day.  Going to book another trip with them to snapper fish in 2025!  Private charters are so worth the little extra per person and you get soooo much more than a large party boat.  The Capt put us on the fish and the assistant worked double time assisting and keeping our lines in the water !  The equipment and boat was a perfect size with a nice indoor area to take a break after wrestling in a big fish .  I can definitely highly recommend them and will book with them again soon.  Thanks Captain and Alan from the De Leon Family!

The Crew: Our guide, Capt. Don, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about fishing. He took the time to explain techniques and share local fishing lore, which made the experience even more enjoyable. His enthusiasm was contagious! Don’s love for fishing made this experience one of the most memorable fishing trips ever. His goal was to make this fishing experience the memory of a lifetime. He achieved his goal, my grandson, and my nephew had the best time and rated this fishing experience number one on our trip to Panama City Beach. I can thank Don for this experience.

Location: We headed out to the Marina, which was stunning. The scenery alone made the trip worthwhile, but the fishing with Capt. Don was the real highlight.

Fishing Experience: After dropping our lines, we started reeling in fish! My nephew caught the first fish; it was his first time fishing. We learned many new techniques about top water fishing. Don knew all the best spots and provided excellent tips that really made a difference.

Equipment: The boat was well-maintained, and all the fishing gear was top quality. Everything we needed was provided, from bait to tackle.

Overall Experience: The camaraderie with Capt. Don was fantastic, and we all shared laughs throughout the day. We chose not to keep any of the fish because we were flying out early the next morning due to Hurricane Helene rolling through.

Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing, and productive day of fishing, I highly recommend Dauphin’s Fishing Charter but you MUST ask for Don. I can’t wait to book my next trip!

Captain Don and Ryan were so very nice and helpful. Captain Don knew all the good secret spots, there were fish there but they were being finicky with their bites but such a cool experience. Captain Don started us out with topwater lures and we caught Speckled Sea Trout, Blue Fish, Lady Fish and I had a couple Spanish Mackerel on but they ultimately got off before we could get them in the boat. Next we got to do some bottom fishing for some Black Snapper. Only was able to hook up on one keeper Black Snapper but was definitely getting bites from them and other fish, such as Pinfish, Flounder, Squirrel Fish, and a small Flounder. We also got to see a very friendly manatee who swam right up to the boat and hung out with us while we fished!
All in all we got to catch a variety of saltwater fish that we have never had the chance to catch before and brought home a little meat to eat!! Great time and I highly recommend fishing with Dauphins Charters and Captain Don!!!

Captain Don was such a pleasure to go out and catch some fish with. He was knowledgable, kind, and patient when our bait kept getting stripped, and quite humourous as well! This was a family trip with dad & 3 young adult ladies. Captain Don knew all the right spots and gave us some tips & tricks, as fishing techniques are all a bit different depending on where and what youre looking to catch.
