- I am 44 years old and I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was fortunate enough to grow up fishing the inshore and offshore waters here. I have fished both salt and freshwater all over the country and one thing is for certain – nothing beats the beautiful pristine waters and marshes of "Sportsman's Paradise!" I spend my winters guiding waterfowl hunters in the duck capital of the world, Arkansas, and my spring, summer, and fall chasing Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Snapper, Black Drum, or anything that will bite in Louisiana. I fish out of a 26' Caymas 26HB bay boat powered by a 300 Mercury. It's fully rigged and ready for some serious fishing. I primarily focus on inshore fishing and offshore rig fishing. We are a family-friendly operation and are committed to making sure you, your friends, family, or clients have a safe, enjoyable, and successful fishing experience.
- Techniques
- We focus on inshore/nearshore fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. We also go out to the oil rigs to chase Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Tripletail, Cobia, Grouper, and Amberjack during certain months. We use high-quality spinning reels and tackle. We use both live and dead bait in addition to fishing lures. The Hook Dat Fishing Charters team has 4 experienced captains who are local Louisiana natives and have spent their lives on the water.
