On our vacation, my family and I decided last minute, to do a 4hr fishing tour with Captain Jon. It exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful time. Being on the water as the sun came up was amazing. Captain Jon and Daniel did a wonderful job and worked so patiently and well with our kids.
Unfortunately we had to cut it a little short because our little girl got sea sick. But Captain Jon did his best to make her as comfortable as he could.
We highly recommend spending the time and money to do this!

I brought my pregnant wife, almost 2 year old daughter, and a family friend. We had a slow morning ing and not much was biting, but we’re able to catch a few.  My wife mentioned looking for dolphins, and we spent the last couple hours chasing dolphins and getting a private dolphin tour. My wife and family friend couldn’t believe how many dolphins we saw and how close they got to the boat. Daniel was very knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to everyone.

After having to reschedule 3 times due to unfavorable weather conditions, We found a clear day. Captain Dan and David ensured we had a great time. Daniel was very Knowledgeable about the local fish Species and when to fish for them. He also suggested excellent ways to cook them.  We didn’t catch and harvest the fish species we wanted due to season restrictions but landed plenty of keepers. I would definitely recommend Southern Saltwater Adventures.

We are a family of five, kids ages are 16,14, and 9. Two boys one girl plus mom and dad. Captain Jon and Daniel exceeded our expectations in every aspect, we caught several different species of fish, they gave us an awesome education on salt water fishing, and were just good humans to talk with in general. Daniel worked his tail off and was so patient and kind to all of us saltwater newbies. We had an awesome experience and would without hesitation recommend their charter services. One piece of advice, manage your expectations, Captain Jon and Daniel will do their absolute best to put you on fish, but they have no control over the weather or Mother Nature. If you have any delusions that perfect weather or catching fish is guaranteed check yourself. Thank you for a great family fishing experience gentlemen.

What a fun trip! We booked our excursion well in advance, and the day turned out to be absolutely perfect.

Captain Jon was very responsive when we requested a change to the booking; he called two days prior to the trip to give us updated information, and we texted for location information (hint: there is no signage, and there is no “suite” - it’s a boat, so be sure to get specifics from him before taking a trip to the wrong side of the dock!).

We stopped to catch bait before we went out to the open. Captain Jon and our deck hand were extremely enthusiastic to sight a huge manta ray with lots of cobia around it, so we stopped and tried our luck there. We ended up quite ways out, but we stopped several times on our way out to be sure we hit all the good spots.

We girls baited our own hooks, but didn’t remove the fish from the line - this was done promptly and cheerfully. The types of fish we caught were identified by Captain Jon and our deck hand, and they told us whether the fish were good for eating and how best to prepare them.

The trip back to the dock was amazing; my sister and I sat in the front and got lots of wind in our hair.

Our trip was successful and tons of fun.
