Guys we’re polite and knew their way around the boat and tackle.  Weather had been up and down.  Two mini bites.  I hate to just burn gas but cannot judge these guys on one single trip.  Of course it would have been great to find the fish.

Well I will start with the only good things in this trip. 3 out of our 6 guests had never been on A Charter before, and did catch a fish. To start we blew one motor/transmission on the way out in the first 45 minutes so our trip was slow going, I believe our fishing time was cut short because of the fact that we had to slow roll back to the docks because the captain had another Charter booked for the afternoon. We were unable to fish other than one spot because of this. That would’ve been all in good as all six of us did get to touch a real but the captain made no effort to search for fish or move around because of the fact we had a blown motor. The Pista resistance was that at the end of the trip we attempted to tip the first mate (which was the captains young son) $50 and we’re almost demanded that he get 120. Which we gave 😕 I do believe that I tip is by choice in whether to give and how much! I have no problem paying for the services but after all that, he was in such a rush for his next booking he butchered the fish we did catch and told us it was illegal to fillet and quarter the fish. We will book another charter but it definitely won’t be with Luckybird.

Disappointing experience! No fault of anyone that the storm delayed our morning trip by 2 hours and made it a wavy,... but:
  1. Captain Glen should have done more care and efforts to try different spots to find fish biting.
  2. Captain’s son helping with fishing itself was quite and experienced and let all 3 large fishes get off while getting floating pieces of the lines (captain still requested tip for him!)

To compare to this experience, I had other 3 weeks prior to it with young man by himself SKILLFULLY managed both boat and fishing!

We will NOT be coming back to “Lucky” Bird!
