March in North Carolina can be a hard time to get on the water for anything. Jason was very flexible with schedule changes as they related to weather and was quick to communicate. Jason was good with our inexperienced group being patient especially with the kids and informative with the adults. We all caught some fish and had a wonderful experience that we will never forget. It is an experience and a captain that I would definitely recommend.

If I could encourage one thing, the captain should have had our bait before our trip.  Much of our time was spent trying to acquire bait.  I felt like we shouldn’t have had to pay for that time.  He did try hard to put us on some fish despite rough circumstances. Boys (10 & 8 yo) and I had a great morning out with Jason. He’s a knowledgeable captain knows how to get fish in the boat. In fact, after an hour or two dry spell at a few spots, he kept us out an hour longer just to ensure we were able to land a few more. Spanish mackerel flying everywhere! He was patient with my sons’ innumerable questions and was really a great guide for their saltwater fish.

Did inshore fishing on a breezy sunny day. My friend Robert and I fished. Used gold spoons and paddle tail plastics without success around marshy area east of Tayor creek. Then went over to goose bay near Harkers. No fish. Jason then went around Carrot island over to Pivers island off Duke. First he caught finger mullet with his cast net. We were not disappointed with the trip we had. It was a bit rough but that is to be expected. Captain did everything he could to get us on fish. A great time was had by all!
