Zac and his first mate were great. Our trip was delayed due to weather which goes to show Zac’s professionalism.  He was more concerned about us going out, having fun and catching fish then following a schedule. Once the weather cleared up enough for us to go out we went out about 6 miles from shore, dropped our lines and started catching fish immediately. He was very inviting for the kids and everyone had a great time. I strongly recommend Zac and his first mate. They will insure you have a great time.

We had an amazing day and both Captain Zac and First Mate Ralph were top notch.  They know the waters and the great spots and were excellent about patiently teaching newbies and helping when help was needed.  My dad is an 84 year old veteran with a lot of hip pain and they took special care in management of his mobility on and off of the boat. A discount was given for his service. The back bench of the boat was comfortable for him and he fished sitting from there easily. He was frustrated on a couple of occasions when bait didn’t make it back to him, because the first mate was focusing mostly on providing bait to the front of boat passengers.  The weather on our day was just beautiful and we were lucky for that.  When we got to deep waters, we started catching huge grouper right away.  They weren’t in season, so we released, but boy were they fun to catch! The variety of fish caught was surprising- a lot of first catches on this trip of grouper, mackerel, blowfish, snapper, porgie, grunt, blue runners, sucker fish, and one little sardine.  The squid seemed to be more effective bait than the sardines, but both caught fish.

We will absolutely go out again and as soon as possible!! Wonderful day.

We had the best fishing experience! We were scheduled for Thursday fishing but because of the weather they recommended we postpone to Saturday which turned out to be a perfect day! Zach and Nick were super helpful and taught us all the tricks for good fishing! We really enjoyed our day and couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

My wife, sister and I had a great trip with Captain Zac Tapp and First Mate Ralph’s on 5/11/21. The US Coast Guard put a monkey wrench into our planned fishing spots with a last minute announcement of a live fire exercise, but Captain worked around it. We fished 3 spots and pulled in fish at all 3. Zac and Ralph were very helpful, friendly and professional and made sure we had a great day in the water!  Highly recommend this charter!!!!!
