An absolutely awesome day on the water. We booked a 6hr trip which was the perfect amount of time. Captain Josh put us on those Red early and often which was exactly like we had requested. We also caught several other species which was bonus. With so many charter services available in the Sarasota area, I feel fortunate to have chose Captain Josh. His focus is fishing and it was clear that our satisfaction was a top priority. Much like the name states, his knowledge of the waters, tide, presentation and approach is unsurpassed. We normally stay on AMI but from now on will be making the trip down south to go out with Capt. Josh.

Great 4 hour trip with Captain Josh! Josh was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Josh was persistent with trying to put us on the fish. We fished several different areas around Sarasota and caught several different kinds of fish over the course of our trip! Josh was great with giving pointers and advice. All in all it was a great day and we had lots of fun! Highly recommend Josh & Reel Knowledge Fishing!

This was our first time to Florida. My husband loves to fish so we booked a half day trip with captain Josh. We couldn’t have made a better decision for having a great half day trip out on the water. He was very knowledgeable, and so attentive to when we had a “fish on” or needed more bait. We caught multiple types of fish and even saw some dolphins. Once the day was over, Captain Josh cleaned our fish and directed us to the local grocery store, where we picked up some charcoal and cooked our fresh catch for dinner. Such a great time, thanks so much Captain Josh!!!

We have been vacationing and fishing on the gulf coast of Florida for the last 35 years and booked charters with many captains over that time. There are many good captains out there, but Captain Josh has taken the profession to another level of excellence.
First, he is a very clear communicator. After booking our trip, he contacted us to ensure all details of the trip were understood. I am a planner and this was awesome. We discussed our skill level and what type of fishing we wanted to do. He set up the trip exactly as we wanted.
Next, he showed up early and had EVERYTHING ready to go (Live bait, rods rigged, boat clean and ready to go). He was very easy to work with and made my wife and I feel right at home.
But the most impressive thing was his knowledge and skill. Not all trips produce fish (that is why it is called fishing, not catching) and weather, tide, location, all effect results, but Captain Josh put us on fish immediately and within the first 10 minutes we landed a 30” Redfish. Because of red tide, many of the sport fish were catch and release, So while I loved catching them, I also wanted to bring home some fresh fish to eat.
Captain Josh, put us on a school of snapper and we put about 10 in the cooler for my fresh fish fix! We proceeded to land 6 more Redfish all over 26”.
We came back to the dock and he cleaned all our fish and we left with a clean 5lbs of filets ready for dinner.

This was an outstanding trip. Captain Josh was extremely knowledgeable and a terrific guide. He has you fishing constantly and handles everything. Show up with your sunscreen and some food and you are good to go! We caught 12 different species and learned a lot about salt water fishing despite all of us having experience. We took my elderly father-in-law and Josh was great at keeping an eye on him and getting him involved (he had a blast and caught a ton of fish). I can see why Captain Josh has such great reviews!
