As the winter temperatures have bottomed out, the shift to warmer water temperatures has begun. This means everything is starting to eat, the winter species (Pompano, sheepshead) are starting to school up and chew,at the same time the year round species (redfish, snook, trout ) are coming out of winter water temp shock. This means everything is in the bay and hungry!!!

Low Means Slow

With negative tides and cool water temps in the mornings this time of year the fish don't want to work hard for a meal. This means slowing all presentations of baits down to a crawl,,painfully slow ,,when my clients think they're going as slow as they can I'll tell them to cut that speed in half. Low tides =slow Low temperatures =slow Low pressure (cold front)=slow.

The bite was slow at first but Captain Harris changed locations and did a good job putting my dad and I on the fish. We caught ladyfish, sheepshead, Spanish mackerel, black drum, puffer fish, and speckled trout.

Ben and Cole were amazing clients with great patience. Fishing is tough on and around full moons because fish tend to feed at night. Even tho the bite was slow I had an Awsome time meeting new friends with similar interest and I found the printing company I will be doing my business with in the future.
