Be sure you go out over the reef.
This was a 6am 6-hour trip, and it took an hour to get to the reef where we had a solid 4-hours of catching while trolling. 
Note get the price cleared with the captain on fishingbooker before you go. They offered the option to go to the reef for an extra $80 us.
Very fun trip for 4 fisherman.
We had a lot of action. 
Had 3 times where we had 2 fish on the same line.
Had one time where we had 4 lines hit at the same time.  They had 6 lines trolling.

Biggest fish was a 45 lb Jack.

We had 3 great meals prepared from the best 40% of our catch.  Gave the other the other 60% to orphanage

Capt. Chewy and crew were great - they worked their **s off trying to get fish, but the season and day wasn’t in their favour. Alas, this is called fishing for a reason, and not catching!

Despite the fish not cooperating, the weather was great, the boat comfortable and the crew engaging.

We will certainly try again with them.

I would recommend this fishing trip to anyone who wants to check out Puerto Vallarta waters. We found them abundant with lots of different varieties. We didn’t catch anything large, but we did mostly insure Fishing and caught barracuda, Sierra, moonfish, which we threw back baitfish, and I found that they were very open and receptive to using some of the gear I brought, which turned out to be great for fishing. Such a blast, I told him they need to change their name to MacGyver Fishing because whatever I had in my tacklebox they fixed it so I could use it and I got fish with it. Lol loved it we will be back. We’re coming back for the big fish next.

As a person who fishes regularly I know very well the ups and downs of fishing and the absolute zero guarantee you will catch any fish on any given day. As we know it’s called fishing not catching.

With that being said I booked with epi after looking thru different profiles. Felt good about his profile and contacted him for booking. He answered as quick as you could possibly want. Everything I asked he had a well prepared answer, And so I booked an 8hr trip for me and my friend.

From start to finish it was an amazing trip!! Hoped on the boat at 7 and by 845 am we already had 2 Bonito on the boat. Slowed down for about 2 hours as fishing tends to do. 1045am hit and chaos broke loose. We had double hook ups triple hooks ups. We couldn’t catch fish fast enough. For a good 2 hour stretch we caught 15 Bonito, 1 skip jack tuna, and one trophy Spanish makrel.

I couldn’t be more pleased with captain chuy and his mate chorizine!! They did an amazing job of setting the day to be a massive success!! Captain chuy with his knowledge of the ocean and chorizine preparing all the equipment and getting the lines in the water quick and with purpose. This duo was amazing!!!

They also prepared fresh shashimi on the boat with some of the catch!!! Had always been a dream of mine and it happend on this day.

The reality is I will be back to Puerto vallarta as it is my favorite Mexico destination. And under no circumstance will I not be booking with epi fishing and absolutely requesting the duo of captain chuy and first mate chorizine!! Thank you guys so much for such and amazing experience!! You guys took my vacation to another level and gave me life long memories I will never forget!!

We had a great 8 hour trip from start to finish! The fish were uncooperative in the beginning but our crew (Chui and Armando) worked hard to get us on the bite. Once we found the fish it was game on! We caught a bunch of Mahi Mahi, we released the females and lost a couple but still filled the cooler and then some. We definitely got our moneys worth. I can’t imagine a better trip. We will be booking with them again!
