Background
Zihuatanejo is a small fishing village where Captain Abel and Captain Enrique together with Ivan who's the first mate spent a lot of time on the sea as a kid, playing and learning new fishing skills. Even when he and his friends went to school, they were always related to sea activities. They're happy to end up making a living off what he likes the most.
Techniques
The captain and his crew can deep sea as well as inshore fish. They enjoy both but prefer offshore fishing. On a regular day, they start trolling for Bonito as soon as they leave the port to keep them alive. Their fishing areas usually start at only 12 to 15 miles from the coast. When they see that the conditions are good, they set everything up and start trolling and looking for signals such as birds, currents, debris, or logs. You won't need to go any farther than 40 miles since there is a nearby natural structure of San Andres Fall, which allows for good currents and blue water. It gives you a 90% chance for a successful fishing day.
