He caught bait for the day before our 7a mtg time and met us 30 mins south on Oak Island where we were staying. We worked for fish the majority of the day on some great looking spots catching 6-8 fish, first trout of the season and some keeper reds. We never stayed on a spot longer than 20 mins if the bite was slow. This was the best decision we’ve ever made for a family outing fishing. The scenery was beautiful. Boat ride was smooth. And we were focused on fishing where they were biting not just wasting our time trying to catch fish that weren’t there like we’ve done on some other trips in the past. A slow start turned into a day of personal bests with 40+ fish by our count and a surprise crab in the boat and we WILL be back again and again. Can’t recommend enough.

We had a great trip with Captain Mason. My sons (5 and 11) both caught multiple fish. He was very knowledgeable, personable and patient with us all. Great communication before the trip. He moved us to new spots if we weren’t catching. And he filleted our fish at the end of the trip which we cooked for a delicious dinner. I would recommend him to anyone and especially if you have kids.

Mason was just the right fit for 3 hour dad & daughter(s) 3 hour tour. From Carolina Beach, we toured the ICWW, Wrightsville and Masonboro on Mason’s well appointed new boat, enjoyed dolphins and caught fish. Capt Mason took my son and I out today.  We ended up catching 8 red drums, a few small sharks and a bluefish.  Boat was extremely clean and he was extremely patient and knowledgeable.  I will add that he didn’t even ask us to write a review!  We had a blast and you should book a trip with him with confidence.  Thanks again Capt Mason!  - Chris and Gavin J
