My son and I went out with Captain Rambo and Diego on Tuesday, July 15th, and from the moment they dropped bait, it was game on! We booked a 4-hour trip and spent the entire time reeling in action—landing 10 beautiful dorados (mahi-mahi) and having an absolute blast.

We even lost another 5, but that’s just part of the fishing experience—nothing but excitement the whole way through.

The crew was top-notch, knowledgeable, and made the trip fun and easy for both of us. They knew exactly where to go and how to keep the energy high the entire time.

It’s not just a fishing trip—it’s a memory we’ll hold onto for a long time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome time on the water. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic fishing trip. It took about 40 minutes to get to the fishing grounds. Once we were there, it took about 5 minutes before we doubled up and had 2 fish on right away. By the end if the trip, we had 6 total fish (5 mahi mahi and 1 barracuda) and numerous other hook ups. We then took our catch and had it prepared by the local restaurant next door. We had the mahi prepared 3 ways and it was delicious. Amazing time and highly recommended.

We’ve gone out with this deep sea fishing charter three times now, and every single trip has been a fantastic experience. The crew is outstanding — friendly, knowledgeable, and 100% committed to making sure you catch fish and have a great time doing it.

On every trip, we’ve come back with fish. These guys know where to go, how to adapt to the conditions, and they work non-stop to keep lines in the water and fish on the hook. They truly do everything possible to give you the best shot at success.

We brought our kids along on one of the trips, and the crew couldn’t have been better with them — patient, encouraging, and fun. They made it a great experience for the whole family, which really meant a lot to us.

We did an 8hr fishing trip on 2/17/25 with Captain Rambo and Deckhand Diego. Rambo kept the boat on the fish and Diego was a work horse on the back of the boat! These two were nothing short of amazing!

The boat was a little cramped as we had a group of 4 which is the max group capacity for the Mamacita but there was no shortage of fish to be caught!

We ended up catching 2- amberjack, 2- grouper, 1- snapper, 1- Bonita, and 15- barracuda! We also got to see dolphins, a sea turtle, and a sail fish skipping across the surface. All of this combined made life long memories that the four of us will never forget!

The trip was perfect from the start. Easy to find the location. Rambo and Diego were an amazing team. They gave us an option and we chose to go further off shore to try and catch multiple species.  Captain Rambo quickly got us on fish and we landed 5 Barracuda, 2 Mahi, 2 Bonito, and a snapper.  Diego was amazing at managing the rods.  On the way back to the dock, Diego made an incredible Bonito ceviche from our catch.  The entire experience was perfect and we would highly recommend Sportfishing Cancun - Mamacita and especially Rambo and Diego as a crew!
