We had a great time with captain Phil. He’s friendly, knowledgeable and patient with a few hack fly fishermen. He gave a quick casting lesson and put us on fish throughout the day. Would recommend to anyone considering a guide on the upper kenai river. Breathtaking views for the entire float plus a brown bear sighting was the cherry on top.

Alex was awesome. Got us on the fish which was awesome. We fly fish a lot on little rivers and creeks, and this was a cool change for us. Alex taught us a lot of how’s and why’s as well. Several big rainbows and even took a minute to try some salmon. Great trip

Our family of 5 had an amazing trip with Alex!  The Kenai River was beautiful, the fishing was excellent and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable.  Would highly recommend!

I went fishing with my two sons.  Phil took the time to help set them up and find where the fish were.  We all caught Sockeye Salmon and had an excellent time doing so.  We also saw some Bald Eagles!  I would highly recommend Phil to anyone looking to have lots of fun fishing.
