Lakeview Outfitters invites you on an unforgettable fly fishing adventure out of Cooper Landing, Alaska. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to take in the breathtaking views of Cooper Landing with all its forests, white capped mountains, wildlife, and the thriving fish life. The man who will make it all happen is Captain and Guide TJ Dawon and his crew.
TJ is eco-conscious and has built a fly fishing equipment shop that is fully self-sustained by solar power. He also practices catch and release in order to preserve the local fisheries for the future generations. And in order to reduce the stress to the fish, he only ever uses and sells barbless hooks.
Lakeview Outfitters will take you out on a 20-foot Willi aluminum fishing boat originally built in 2014. The boat is powered by a 9.9HP Honda engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 10 knots. This speed is perfect for the shallow waters that surround you and will get you to the best fishing spots with ease.
On your trip, you can fly fish for Steelhead, Dolly Varden, Rainbow Trout, Silver Salmon, King Salmon, and Sockeye Salmon. Lakeview Outfitters will provide you with the best fly fishing equipment which they also carry in their store. TJ and the guides always carry an arsenal of flies and beads. Your trip includes fly fishing equipment, live and artificial baits, and conventional tackle.
Lakeview Outfitters have a full rental area, offering chest waders and boots as well as fly rods and reels. They will also provide you with a wealth of information about the area and fun things to do. You are welcome to choose a half or full day fishing trip, a scenic breakfast tour first thing in the morning, or an afternoon wine tour.
