Jon and Chip did not disappoint- great crew that taught us a lot about tuna fishing- we caught a lot of tuna ranging in size from 25lbs to 78lbs. Would highly recommend this boat and crew - we will definitely use them when we need more tuna - thx Jon and Chip for making it a very memorable day!

What a trip!! As an avid Tuna fisherman and a past charter boat mate I was very impressed with Captain Jon and Devlin. They are very friendly and know what they are doing. Capt. Jon’s experience with Tuna fishing produces great results (18 Yellow Fin) and makes for a wonderful experience. We had four, with our group, who had never Tuna fished before. Devlin guided them and helped them.
If you are looking for a great experience, this is the boat, captain and mate that you want. I have been on several Tuna charters and have never experienced anything any better and have experienced much, much worse.
We are already planning our next trip with Captain Jon and will be reserving our date this week.
If I could give them a 10 star rating I would!

This team is top notch and you won’t find a better charter out there! The boat itself is comfortable, spacious, and clean. The crew is AMAZING! Devlin and Jonathan were so welcoming and made everyone feel at ease on the boat. Devlin spent the first few hours digging the lures and getting everything ready for the day all the while answering all our questions about the bait and preparation. It was pretty quiet initially and then we finally got a bite and they were so patient with me as I was cranking for over an hour trying to bring this fish in. They were so encouraging and fun! Our gosh eventually got snagged by a shark (so we think) but such is fishing! They managed to get us over to a school of Mahi and we were able to get a bunch of those in the boat. It was a great trip thanks to Devlin and Jon and we are already looking to book another trip! You won’t go wrong with these guys!

An excellent and highly memorable day out, boat was large, really fast and well equipped. Devlin the first mate rapidly got to work setting up the rods on the way out and was relentless in cleaning and keeping good order throughout the entire duration of the trip. Clear that Captain Jon and Devlin work very well together and their teamwork helped maximise our catching opportunity. As soon as we caught a fish the rod was re-rigged and back in the water. We caught 11 yellowfin tuna with a weight of about 440lbs. Way beyond any of our expectations! Again a truly memorable trip for two fathers and four children who will remember the trip forever.

We headed out of Manteo at 5am and by 8:30am, Jonathan already had us on fish with 5 lines going at once. A big tuna went deep and bent the hook but we pulled in 4 big yellowfins, one right after the other — smallest around 40 lbs and largest around 70 lbs. By 9:30am, we hit another round of yellowfins and pulled in three more 35-45 pounders. Devlin went at it as hard as I’ve ever seen a First Mate work. After filling the box with well over 350 lbs of tuna, we still had plenty of time and decided to troll for Mahi. Jonathan worked his magic and before long, sure enough we had a nice big Mahi in the boat. All before noon. These guys were awesome, they knew their stuff and were just plain great to be out with. I’ve gone deep sea fishing all over, from the NJ coast to OBX to Aruba, Cancun and the DR and I can say that this was by far the nicest, most immaculate sport fishing boat I’ve had the pleasure to sail on. If you sail with Blue Chip you will not be disappointed! 10 out of 10 recommend.
