I'm Captain Pepi Alfonso (USCG 100-Ton Master Captain), born and raised in sunny Miami, Florida! I grew up fishing in Miami and the hidden gems of the Islamorada backcountry in the Florida Keys. Back in 1996, I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a splash in Environmental Studies from Loyola University. But the adventure didn't stop there! I packed my bags and set sail for Puerto Rico, where I started fishing on the amazing North Coast of the island. Then, in 1999, I made my way to Rincon and created the legendary Makaira Fishing Charters. I love to share my passion and expertise.
