June 26th we took a 3/4 day trip with Blue Water out of San Juan. We choose San Juan so we would not have to drive to Fajardo from Durado. Well worth it! I also wanted something bigger this time. I have done 5 fishing charters in the ocean but all shallow water not deep sea. Blue Water did not let me down! Within an hour of getting on the water BAM! Huge Blue Marlin hit! Spent almost an hour getting the fish to the boat, was a beautiful Marlin hitting about 300lbs. About, 2 hours later, BAM, another hit from a blue marlin although we did not get this to the boat due to a bad set hook. Another 2 hours maybe a bit more, BAM, another Blue Marlin on, this time it took about the same amount of time to the boat. About 275lbs. Such a beautiful fish! Got some pics and videos. Fantastic fishing day! These guys pulled in three blue marlin. In one day, that is UNHEARD of!
The boat is a good boat. This is not a luxury fishing boat, this boat goes out to get the fish which to me is EXACTLY what I wanted! They provide water and softdrinks. We brought some food.
The crew is great! Jose took good care of us and is lots of fun! Pepe knows what he is doing. Great guy and got us on the fish! I can’t ask for much more!
We had two newcomers to this venture along with me and my wife who have done fishing charters just not deep sea. We all had an absolute blast! Would do this again in a heart beat!

Wow what a day! My family of four joined Captain Pepe and his mate Manny today for a the deep sea fishing adventure of our dreams. They were courteous, prompt, respectful, welcoming and above all KNOWLEDGEABLE! Although there is no guarantee you will catch anything (after all, it is called FISHING, not CATCHING) we were able to reel in a monster Yellowfin Tuna and 25 lb Wahoo thanks to their expertise and patience! They graciously provided us with iced soda cans and bottled water throughout the trip. After our trip was over, Captain Pepe did us the huge favor of filleting the fish!! My family will be talking about this day for years to come. Thank you so much!!
