I came all the way from California, and I’ve been on plenty of fishing trips before—but nothing compares to this one! Captain Jose “Pepe” and his mate Manuel were incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, fun, and beyond helpful. From the moment we stepped on board, we felt truly appreciated, and that made all the difference.

They worked so hard to give us the experience of a lifetime, and they absolutely delivered. It was clear how much they cared about making sure we had a great time. We’re so grateful for their service—it’s something my family and I will never forget.

Thank you, Jose, for also cleaning and cutting the fish for us. We’re enjoying it tonight at the restaurant you recommended, and it’s absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to come back and do it all again. Highly, highly recommended!

Rough seas and no bites at first, but then BAM! What an experience! We told Captain Pepe that we were looking for dinner. So his crew member, Manny, set our tackle up appropriately for Mahi-Mahi and tuna. First catch was a blue marlin, something we were not expecting. What a surprise and an experience to catch something like that. Right after that we caught a decent Mahi and a couple of yellowfin tuna. Really excited that I got to share this experience with my kid. Highly recommended. I will be connecting with Blue Water Fishing PR when we come back. Visiting Puerto Rico for the first time. We had great luck using fishingbooker to connect with Captain Pepe and his first mate Manny. We had the greatest luck on the only nice day of the weekend (May 4). I’m an experienced charter captain out of Duxbury MA and seek out similar qualities to my charters. A short trip out to blue water for a 4-hour charter, resulted in plenty of mahi mahi at a time where no one was catching fish in the previous days. Upon our return, Captain Pepe nicely filleted the fish and we took a filet with his recommendation to the new reef restaurant a short walk away from the marina. We highly recommend Captain Pepe putting us on fish and knowing exactly where to go. And I recommend the mushroom sauce over mahi fillet. An outstanding combination of great fishing and a great meal.

We came to Puerto Rico for a birthday fishing experience we only dreamed about.  Capt Pepe and Manuel did not let us down.  From being super down to earth to an extremely ready professional fishing team.  My wife’s dream was to catch a Dorado and the Capt did everything in his power to make it happen and we did.  He not only cleaned the fish and packaged what we asked for but made a call to a local restaurant owner and set us up with the best location to enjoy our fresh catch.  We will be back and I will never have to look for another Capt in Puerto Rico again!!

Not our first time fishing off-shore in Puerto Rico but it was our first time with Captain Pepe and first mate Manny.  Captain Pepe kept us on the fish most of the day, hauling in nearly a dozen dorado!  Manny is great and knowledgable beyond his years; he kept us entertained while keeping the gear wet.  Our only regret was not hauling that dinosaur-sized white marlin in the boat; sorry I let you down captain, we’ll get him in a few months!  Can’t recommend this charter enough!
