6/20/2025 Captain Ed Fishing:

My fishing trip with Captain Ed was Great!
Capt. Communicated with me following confirmation with FishingBooker.  He offered me suggestions on places to stay. I traveled 5 hours to get to Lake Texoma. He talked me through securing the special fishing license required because the lake is in both Texas and Oklahoma.  His dock was easy to find and just like a private fishing camp.  We hit the lake early, before sunrise.  Capt. Ed knew exactly where to get to, In The Dark!  After very little cruising and checking the amazing electronics he has onboard, (I never heard of a “Thumper”) we were ON Fish.  Couldn’t have been 10 minutes and we began to catch.  If a spot didn’t produce, we moved to another. Secured the lake limit in less than 2 hours.  His boat was outfitted with exactly the gear we needed.
Capt. had stories to tell, oh boy did he.  Traveled the world, several careers, retired 4 times… lol (I don’t think he understands “Retired”).  Not all his jokes were funny, but then, neither were mine.
Capt. Ed knows Lake Texoma really well And how to fish it.  I would whole heartedly recommend him to be your guide if you’re seeking Natural, Striped Bass in Texoma.  I hope to fish with him again.  Thanks Captain Ed!

Let me just start by saying, if you wanna book a striper trip at Lake Texoma , you need to book with Captain Ed!!!!!!

He was a great communicator, he called me shortly after I reserved the booking and communicated with me all the way up until the trip. He answered all my calls and texts with any questions I had. Now let’s get to the good stuff…

We met at 6am, he had already been up since 2am catching a lot of bait for us. He had a really nice Boston Whaler boat with live scope, radar, so many poles and everything you need to be successful. He even let my friend borrow a pair of rubber boots because we thought it might rain.
We got to his fishing spot around 630-7 and he put us right on the striper. We were catching fish left and right. We limited out in probably about 60-90 mins and then did another hour or two catching and releasing. We caught some good size fish.

Then he cleaned all our fish for us and bagged the meat up for us to take home. He was knowledgeable and helpful and super friendly. Telling great stories too! So if you want a great experience at Lake Texoma catching some striper, I strongly recommend using Captain Ed. I know I will be using him everytime I come back into town!!!

My Dad and I had the most amazing day with Captain Ed! He was so professional and checked in with us a couple of times before our trip. He provided very clear information (along with a map) as to where to meet him before hand. He even got up at 1:00 to hand catch the bait so our trip would be perfect. We enjoyed ourselves so very much and the fish were biting! More importantly, we truly enjoyed each others company! Ed was truly such an amazing guide! He made the trip personable, fun and engaging. He is an excellent guide and we’d highly recommend him! He worked very hard and if the fish were not biting in the spot we were in we moved quickly to another location. We enjoyed the conversation with Ed - and he even asked me to drive the boat, which I loved!!!!! If you’re looking for a remarkable day, book with Captain Ed! He made our trip so enjoyable!

Ed was great. He stayed in communication with us from the time we booked til the morning of. Providing us with exact directions to his boat launch. We caught our limit for both my husband and I before 10am. Lots of good sized fish.

My son Bane and I absolutely had a blast! Ed put us on the fish three days in a row all while battling the after effects of flood waters. Ed’s relentless drive to get us catching and great personality made the trip worth the drive.

We are ready to have a fish fry with the family and already looking forward to doing it again!
