I am from Montgomery, AL and attended Auburn University. I received my degrees in Finance and International Business and also received my MBA directed in Finance. After college, I ran hospital revenue cycles until I lost the drive to continue in that career after my father's passing so I moved to the beach and started a yacht charter business. We currently own a 75' Princess and operate a 60' Neptunus. We ordered the 31' Sportsman in July 2022 and it finally arrived in March 2023. We strive to add a family fun fishing and adventure experience that will go with our yacht charter service!

    CA Mikey Kept us on the fish the entire 8 hour trip.

    8 Hour AM Trip • 4 adults

    We had a great trip with CA Mikey. No time wasted looking for live bait or on a long slow ride out. We had a quick stop for live bait and quick ride to the first stop of many where we stayed on the fish the entire 8 hours. Caught 2 keeper grouper out of 3. hit our limit in snapper, mingo, and triggerfish, also caught 3 Mahi. We will definitely do it again.

    10 Hour AM Trip • 1 adult

    I had the pleasure of going out with Captain Mikey yesterday. It was a 10 hour trip. Mikey was very adamant about keeping us on the fish and we caught several mingo snappers, mahi, and various other species. Mikey was a great guy and seemed very experienced on the gulf. Overall great trip. If i return to the gulf I will get ahold of these guys for another trip!

    4 Hour PM Trip - State Waters Only • 2 adults

    We went out on an afternoon trip. Our captain was a super cool guy and taught us a lot. Played good music and made us very comfortable. We were busy catching fish all afternoon. I would definitely go again with this charter!

    Capt Mikey was awesome. Knew where to find the fish. Knew when to get to the next spot. Had all 6 of us engaged and reeling in the fish. Highly recommended.

    Caught a few fish. Captain was great. Girls in group were disappointed the toilet that listed wasn’t available and ride a little rough and wet.

    To start the morning the captain tried to scare us about conditions. We were paid and ready to go. He never introduced himself, asked us or name or acted like he was excited about charting the trip. He then tried to see how much ocean water he could get on us. We did catch a limit of mingo / beeliner snaper. He never intended to try and catch any larger species like grouper, amberjack or red snapper. just get through a 6 hour charter. Too bad.

What's biting with Fed Permits - New Boat - Fish & Fun Destin in Destin

Fishing in Destin has to cool down at some point – but not in November! Make the most of the end of the pelagic season, while bay and bottom fishing is still on fire. Fill your boat to fill the freezer for the holidays!

Destin Fishing Report – August 2025 August continues to deliver incredible opportunities in the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village,” and this year is no exception. With our federal permits, we're able to venture well beyond nine miles offshore, unlocking access to prime fishing grounds—not just in state waters. Red snapper season remains open for us, extending through mid-September thanks to our federal charter capabilities. That means clients can still catch and keep red snapper into early fall—don’t let the season slip by! In addition, vermillion snapper are actively biting now, offering excellent bottom-fishing action just offshore. Our offshore grounds are also delivering solid bites from scamp and red grouper, popular for their fight and table quality. And for those chasing surface action, the Mahi-Mahi bite has been strong, with plenty of vibrant, sun-soaked fish coming aboard.

April - Water heats up and so does the f

The gulf waters are heating up and that means the fishing does too. The Spanish Mackerel bite has been AWESOME and the kings are starting to show up too! Bottom fishing has been on fire with the vermillion snapper (aka mingos or beeliners), red and white porgys, etc., chewing up bait. We have been catching several trigger fish although many are undersized. The smaller ones still put up a mean fight but it takes about 15 smalls to catch a keeper. As for cobia, the migration has started! They have been on a downward spiral the last ten years are so in the area but they are starting to come back and that is a good sign!
