Cobia have been immigrating back through the Destin area. For the last few weeks we have been hooking up with a few larger sizes. Cobia is known for being one of the best eat fishing in salt water.

Red snapper season is booking quick

Looks like we are going to have another awesome red snapper season in the Destin area. The season is from the 2 week of June the the end of July. Season time frame is subject to changes by the state of Florida. Bookings are going quickly. Definitely don't wait too long to book before all of the dates are gone. Captain James and his wife were amazing! My boyfriend and I treated my boyfriend’s dad to a fishing trip for his birthday. It was my and my boyfriend’s first time fishing in the ocean. The captain was very professional, there were some changes in the weather that the captain did a very good job of paying attention to, and letting me know before the trip even started. Captain James still had a great plan put together even with last minute changes. Was put on to some incredible fishing. Captain James was honest and fair. Will be using Apex charters again!!!!

Thanks for a great review. Mother nature decided to test us today. We were able to make some adjustments and crushed some fish. I am glad we were able to have a successful trip and get back to the marina before the weather started to get worse. We managed to have about as good of a trip as we could have, despite mother nature. Captain James

We had such a great trip with the captain today! The weather conditions weren’t looking ideal so he let us adjust our trip times for optimal fishing conditions. He put us on to some good groups of Mahi, and we even brought home a few other types of fish as well. Overall just a really awesome trip, and we’re hoping to be back in the future.

6 hour off shore trip with my father in law and wife. Bite started slow, but the Captain kept adjusting and looking for the schools of Mahi. We managed to find them and it was an absolute blast. Grabbed a handful of snapper to round out the trip and now have a couple dozen fish for the freezer. Will be reaching back out to him for another charter on our next Destin trip.
