OUTSTANDING!  My trip with Captain Tim and FM Scott was nothing short of outstanding.  I was taking my (3) boys, sister, and brother-in-law out for an afternoon of fishing.  Captain Tim and FM Scott were very professional and as most of us were unfamiliar with this type of fishing I really apprecieated their candor.  They clearly explained what would happen, what we needed to do, and how to successfully get our fish in.  Both Captain Tim and FM Scott took time to talk with my boys and really get them excited about catching some fish (which for them was an accomplishment, lol).  When it came time to bring the fish in, their directions were clear and concise.  It was a great trip and a wonderful experience for all of us.  I couldn’t reccomend Powderhorn Sportfishing highly enough and can’t wait until our next trip to Holland so we can go again!!

My wife two teenage daughters in myself booked a half-day afternoon trip with Powderhorn Chartrers.
  We were supposed to leave at 2 o’clock but the captain asked if we could move the trip back to four to let the waves calm down and the bite had been better later in the evening
  With Matt at the wheel and Gabe rigging lines like a madman we were into fish almost immediately
  Five minutes in hooked up with a 21 pound salmon
Followed bye half a dozen nice trout.
  Then a 25 pound salmon for my wife .
As we were winding down the trip and bringing in the lines after a and awesome day of fishing we hooked up with the last fish of the day, a 28 pound king!
What a way to end the trip!
  Back at the dock the guys had us packaged up and ready to go promptly.
  These guys were great I highly recommend Powderhorn Charters.

Capt Matt and 1st Mate Gage knew where the big fish were biting and our team of 4 anglers took full advantage of the opportunity.  Our biggest fish was a 25.7 lbs King Salmon in addition to numerous lake trout and Coho salmon.  Matt and Gabe were fully engaged making the trip a great experience.  In the famous words of the Terminator “We’ll be Back!”

I had a great trip w/ Powderhorn Sportfishng. Captain Matt and Scott were professional, funny, and went out of their way to ensure optimum fishing conditions-they contacted me the night before to recommend an early start to our scheduled time, which helped with the catch, imo. Anybody looking to fish out of Holland, MI should roll with these guys.

Spent 1/2 day AM with Captain Matt and First-Mate Scott. Chilly 1st day to the charter season, but sunny and calm on Lake Michigan. Started a little slow, but finally got some fish. Our family of four caught 7 Lake Trout. Several were very big and had some fight to them. Lots of fun for all of us. Matt and Scott were great to spend time with. Very personable. We will definitely be looking to do more trips with Powderhorn Sportfishing in the future. Getting ready to cook some trout for dinner right now.
