This was an important trip for me because It was my dad’s 71st birthday. I spent a long time searching for Captains before picking one. I go speck and red fishing a few times a year with a friend. My dad I think has been once but we used to freshwater fish when I was a kid. He hasn’t done much fishing since then. Trip was originally booked for Saturday. Capt. Parker called on Thursday asking if we could go on Friday because the weather was going to be bad on Saturday. Luckily we were able to make it work for Friday. (The wind was probably 15+ mph on Saturday).

We met up with Captain Parker in Pass Harbor the morning of. He got us on the boat and off quickly. We went over to Louisiana where we hit several spots. When a spot got slow we would go look for another one. We ended the day with 29 keeper trout and 1 ground mullet. The trout were pretty decent size. Well above the size limit. We also probably threw back 5 or 6 and lost another 8-10. My dad had what seemed like a pretty big red on that broke off.

Capt. Parker was very helpful with my dad while he was getting used to using the gear. I don’t think helpful even gives him enough credit. Capt. Parker was extremely friendly and helpful to both of us in giving advice and telling us about the area. He genuinely wanted us to catch fish and have a good time.

The boat was really nice. Its a hybrid bay boat, so its a little bigger for safety but still easy to fish out of. The rest of his equipment was top notch to make fishing easier and more comfortable.

We had a great time and I would highly recommend booking a trip with him.

We had a fantastic trip. Captain was pleasant very helpful and put us on fish quickly. I recommend him very highly.

Took my nephew out for his fist deep sea adventure, thought he was going to stroke out with excitement. He pulled in the first fish and it was game on.
Cap Jennings was great for my nephew first trip, very patient and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this trip.

Good boat. Very good capt. Put up with my BS much better than I expected. Water temp very cold so no luck with Trout or Reds but 12 nice Sheepshead and 22 Black Drum. Lots of fun for this old man

We really enjoyed our trip with captain Jennings. Despite windy conditions all morning captain Jennings never gave up trying to find us fish and as soon as the wind died down he brought us to a spot where we caught 36 keeper trout most of them 14 inches or bigger. We will definitely use captain Jennings again for our next charter trip
