Our Captain Mason was fantastic and showed our family of 4 (2 teens) such a wonderful time.  The boat was the perfect size, he got us on the fish and if the bite slowed, moved us to a better spot.  He was patient and taught us great techniques that worked.  We had a wonderful time and will definitely book with Staley Adventures again this fall.

Captain Jay and Mason were very accommodating. They did mention that that at this time the season was slower but went above and beyond to make us comfortable and make sure that we caught as much fish as possible. They baited our hooks, gave us the best tips to help catch, cleaned our catches and then we got to go home with everything. Highly recommended for an amateur fisherman or an expert. We will definitely be back and will be calling these guys for another trip.

Our trip was booked as a father-son expedition for my son’s birthday with some of his friends. We arrived at the boathouse in an utter downpour, and we were unsure of how the morning would go. On top of the rain, the temperature had dropped 30 degrees overnight. Our departure was a bit delayed as we waited for a break in the weather. We moved around the lake, and in all honesty I thought the trip would be a bit of a bust, the lake was quiet and the fish were not cooperating. Cpt Staley worked tirelessly across a huge portion of the lake until we finally had our first hit. We never had an explosion of fish like I know some people have on this lake, but through the Captains patience and constant effort, we slowly but surely ended the morning with a great catch, including an absolute monster. The boys (and the dads) had a great time and will definitely be back.

The evening before the day we fished it was 111 degrees. So we expected a blistering start even though starting at daylight. But it started raining about 30 minutes before we headed out of the marina and it quit raining about the time we headed out. Cool air to start the day was a welcome one. My son was on this trip with me and he needed a break from the 100 plus heat he has been working in.

It was cool with a cloud cover the whole time with a breezy wind blowing. The sun never came out until about a minute after we limited with the stripers and were done. We caught 35 total, keeping our limit of 20. The throwbacks were because of being too big over 20 inches.
Couldn’t ask for a better condition. We had a lot of fun in a few hours with Mason (Jay’s son). He is young and an excellent fishing guide, level headed and loves his work.

We also caught a blue cat and a couple of bluegill. We all wound up at Frank’s restaurant a few miles down the highway for lunch, after Mason filleted our fish and I put em on ice. Great fishery here in Texoma, excellent family guide service, awesome time catching a load of fish there today, delicious burger at Franks afterwards, and absolutely perfect fishing day.

I’ll be back to fish again with them. I have been on more than a hundred guided fishing trips and many great guides. They are in the exceptional category and I recommend them. Everything I expect from a fishing guide service.

I cannot recommend Captain Staley enough! I booked a Father’s Day family trip for my dad, sister, and I. We agreed that this was the best guide service we have been on! Both Staley and his deck hand were friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone caught fish. If we weren’t riding around looking at the scenery as we headed to the next spot, we always had a pole in our hands and were fishing. We weren’t waiting for our fish to be taken off the line or for new bait on the pole. He let us fish for catfish on the dock when we got back while they cleaned our fish (they even took out the red line!!). At the end he took us over to one of the restaurants across from the marina that had an amazing view! 10/10 plan on coming back annually to fish with Captain Staley again.
