We booked multiple days with Rubio sportfishing. Alfredo Rubio and our captain Carlos were great. Carlos listened to our gameplan/feedback of what fish we wanted to target and put us on the fish accordingly. We got loads of yellowtail, cabrilla and a few other unexpected catches: cubera snapper, sierra, jack crevalle.

We also had them vacuum seal and freeze some of the catch so we could take it home.

When we go back to loreto, we will certainly be booking with them again.

We went twice with Rubios on a recent trip to Loreto. Opted for their 7 hour all inclusive trip.  The trips were about seven days apart. The first day was calm and we travelled some 25 miles to fish for yellow tails. Our captain didn’t try to communicate with us much. His constant smoking was also very irritating for non smokers. We used the same technic all day with limited success two bites landing one fish. A boat beside us using multiple rods did quite well. January fishing in Loreto is not that good so your expectations should not be that high.
Or second trip Alfredo the manager move our trip ahead a couple of because of forecasted windy conditions. We arrived at 6:15 and they were ready to go but Alfredo said there was no live bait available today and suggested we could go the next day. I was very impressed so we went the next day. We had a different captain Carlos and bait. The weather was windy and getting out 25 miles was not feasible. Carlos was great talked fair English was funny and knows the area well. We each had our own rod in hand which was good. We landed 3 smaller yellow tails lost a couple and caught some other smaller fish. We had a great day on the water with Carlos and highly recommend him. Alfredo met us at the dock took our fish cleaned vacuumed sealed and delivered them where we were staying within an hour!
Very impressed with Carlos and Alfredo and definitely would use there service again.

This was my 2nd time fishing in Loreto and the first time booking with Rubio Sportfishing. It is a well run family business. They do a great job setting you up for a successful trip. Communication with Alfredo via WhatsApp was good. He even met us at our Airbnb the day before and discussed how our two days of fishing would go. Our boat captain was Carlos and he did a great job getting us to where the fish were. The first day we got one good sized yellow. The 2nd day we went trolling for dorado. We had one hook up but lost the fish. We got several other small species and had a fun time being out on the water.

This was our first charter here in Loreto. Our captain picked us up in the bay by our resort and we were off. They supplied everything needed for the day. Drinks, food, live bait, liscense for all. After about 55 minute ride we fished for about 20 minutes and our captain Tacho said we were moving. While going to a second spot he was chatting on the radio and now we were moving in another direction. As we pulled about about 45 minutes later we noticed two mother boats. So we started to slow troll.  Fish On! A beautiful 22 lb yellow fin!  New bait 15 minutes later Fish On!  This time 27 lb yellow fin,  New bait 20 min and Fish On!  We had each caught between 20 and 30 lb yellow fin tunas. What a great day. Our captain worked very hard to out on fish. They were cleaned and bagged ! Highly recommend this charter.

just great day one the watter, caught bait early. then headed oit for yellow tail. caught 3 monsters and headed in, home cooked lunch. everyone was so nice . took my wife along cor her first fishing trip and she locked in.

I recommend the captain any day!
