Carlos is a great captain. He knew where to take us to find the fish. He was very nice and funny. My husband and I fish a lot and this was one our best trips! There were a lot of fish caught and laughs had. After fishing, Carlos took us to a beautiful beach to explore and we got into a school of dolphins that played along our boat. It was incredible!
We are coming back in September and really hope to have Carlos as our captain again!

This is my second year with Rubio Sport-fishing and it never disappoints. First day caught 5 Yellowtail, 12 black sea bass and saw the sea lion colony and multiple pods of dolphins. 2nd day wife and I went whale watching with Rubio and saw over 15 whales. Mostly humpbacks but on the way in for the day Rubio found a Blue Whale! Third day was back to fishing which was great again. The highlight was the 4th and last day when my wife joined me fishing. My wife and I went 4 doubles on yellowtails in an hour and a half! Amazing! Ended the day with 9 yellow tail by 11am and went to see the sea lion colony again! All equipment was in great condition and boat was comfortable! I will only book with Rubio Sport Fishing during my time in Loreto!

The captain, Alfredo, has local knowledge and was willing to go much further than our first trip, with a different company, because he knew the chances of finding fish at the farther location was better. He changed methods of fishing until we caught fish. We caught many more than the other boats near us.

After we returned, the fish was cleaned, vacuum packed, frozen and delivered to our hotel. They even bought an insulated bag for the fish because we didn’t have one. Alfredo Jr, did all this for us. These guys were the best. They provided the best fishing service I have used. If I am in Loreto, I would go with them again.

I had an amazing experience with Alfredo at Rubio Sportfishing in Loreto, BCS! Our Captain Victor was right on time, which made for a smooth and stress-free start to our day. From the moment we stepped aboard, they were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

Their knowledge of the local waters was impressive, and they were extremely helpful throughout the entire trip, ensuring we had the best chance of landing some great catches. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a beginner, they make sure everyone has a fantastic time.

There was a slight language barrier, but it wasn’t a big issue at all. They still managed to communicate effectively, and we felt well taken care of throughout the trip. The overall experience was excellent, and I would definitely recommend this charter to anyone looking to enjoy a day of fishing in Loreto!

The Rubio family have four generations of fisherman here in Loreto. The Father whose grandfather and father were Loreto fishermen, was our captain. His ability to read the sea was amazing and it led to catching Dorado, Yellow Tail, white meat Bonita and of course, the one that got away, a huge Marlon, between Mr Rubio, my wife and I, we fought this beast for 90 minutes before he got the beat us and sawed right through the line…we had wonderful experience with the Rubio’s, true Loreto Fisherman!
