What a great experience! Rubio sport fishing did not disappoint. The communication was timely and our captain, Jesus, worked really hard to put us on some fish. The week that we were there was slow for everyone, considering it was Dorado season. Jesus kept switching things up and stayed on the radio when necessary to ensure that we were able to get what we came for. Overall, we caught 7, three Dorado that yielded two keepers! The fish were vacuum, sealed, and delivered to us on the dock within 30 minutes. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and experience! I highly recommend Rubio Sport Fishing and cant wait to go back!

Had an amazing fishing trip! The captain was fantastic—super knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole experience fun from start to finish. You can tell he really knows the water and wants everyone to have a great time. The business owner was just as impressive—very responsive, easy to work with, and went above and beyond. He even personally delivered the fish we caught right to our hotel, which was such a great touch and made the whole trip even more memorable. Highly recommend—top-notch experience all around!

We booked multiple days with Rubio sportfishing. Alfredo Rubio and our captain Carlos were great. Carlos listened to our gameplan/feedback of what fish we wanted to target and put us on the fish accordingly. We got loads of yellowtail, cabrilla and a few other unexpected catches: cubera snapper, sierra, jack crevalle. We also had them vacuum seal and freeze some of the catch so we could take it home. When we go back to loreto, we will certainly be booking with them again.
We had a great time today. Although we didn't catch the big fish, it wasnt for a lack of trying. We had opportunities, the Dorado and Sailfish just didn't cooperate. We did have an opportunity to still get fish by switching to bottom fishing prior to pulling in. Great day doing some traditional Loreto fishing!
Captain Carlos worked hard to get us intot eh fish, had multiple bites, unable to land anything. But by the end of the trip we had rock fish and white fish to take home and enjoy for dinner. Rubio filetted and brought the fish to where we were staying, vacuumed sealed. Given overall fishing conditions had a great time.
Capt. Alfredo Rubio Quintana first fished at Loreto with his father on an 18' wooden boat with a 6 HP engine, using nets. That was 25 years ago when Capt. Alfredo was 12 years old. Their next Loreto fishing boat was a 20' fiberglass boat, a narrow boat with a 25 HP Johnson engine. When the captain was 17, they bought their first 'speed boat.' It was a 22' La Paz-style skiff with a 55 HP motor. In this boat, his father and he would lead as fishing guides for private boats visiting the Club de Vuelo. At 24, Captain Alfredo began working on his own fishing boat. His dad continues the same work, as does one brother. The three of them now have 4 Super Pangas. Nowadays, Captain Alfredo has a kind of enterprise with his sons with 4 Super Pangas ('Alicia 1', 'Alicia 2', 'Alicia 3', and 'Aleisamar') and 1 boat ('Kaiser').
