First the “captain” was incredibly inexperienced with how to drive a boat through minor rough waves. When we suggested putting down the trim tab and trimming the motor up to cut through the waves he acted as if he never heard of a trim tab. He just powered through the waves, getting air and slamming the boat back into the water.. You could tell he was inexperienced. Second, if you except a day of trolling for Mahi, don’t book. Thanks for your business and booking with us. All the mahi we are catching right now are off live bait and coming off the kite. We don’t troll for mahi until summertime when they are running way offshore when the ocean is flat as you mentioned it was choppy can you imagine going 10 or more miles running around the ocean looking for mahi in choppy seas? Your complaining about livebait and caught 4 fish in less then four hours with it. BAD DAY OF KITE FISHING??? I don’t think you know what a bad day of fishing is. Some people come from all over the world and spend thousands to catch sailfish! That’s a pretty lousy review for a picture with everyone smiling. My captain worked hard for you guys and you caught fish. Don’t think that review is fair at all. Some charter outfits don’t catch anything at all most of the time. Captain Thomas has a lot of 5 star reviews and is a top tier tournament winning captain and has plenty of experience that everyone loves to fish with. Some clients never been on a charter that never caught anything and don’t know when to appreciate a great one.
