Captain Frank provided a top notch experience! Absolutely beautiful boat, immaculately clean and outfitted perfectly! Super impressed with the small details. But that being said, it’s Frank that makes it great, super professional and hard working yet very personable friendly and helpful.
My adult stepson and I went for a morning trip. We are life long Michigan bass fishermen. We’ve been on other charters before that were “fine” but I honestly can’t wait to book another trip with Frank!
Thanks for introducing us to a whole new kind of fishing Frank!
By the way, we started at 6am, went north, to “heaven”, limited on walleye before 930am. And we took our time!

We celebrated our 48th anniversary with a trip to Lake Erie for some fishing, and it could not have been any better. I did a bit of research to try to ensure that we had a happy,  memorable experience and settled on Captain Frank Sherry and his South of Heaven Guide Service. He had great reviews and I was hoping to add to that.  We are so glad we did!
Frank had ordered up a beautiful day of weather (okay, maybe that is an a bit of an exaggeration but you get my point.).  The waves were short, the ride was fast, and the fishing was great.
I felt bad for the people on some of the other boats that were out.  You could hear the chatter on the radio from various captains complaining on the poor results they were getting.  I know that it is kind of the luck of the draw, but Frank did all the right things to put us on the fish.  It did not happen all at once, although we did get a couple of doubles.  It was primarily Franks knowledge of his surroundings of previous successes, and his ability to use all of his state of the art electronics to get to the hot spots!
Being a naturally curious kind of guy, I asked lots of questions, and Frank showed his extensive knowledge of fishing, Lake Erie, and surrounding areas.
All in all, it was a perfect day!  We most definitely will be back.

Caught 15 Walleye total.  Captain Frank put us on lots of good sized Walleye and the Crow’s Nest restaurant suggestion to cook your catch was a hit! Best family charter experience on Lake Erie ever.  We all had a great time. The boat was very clean and Captain Frank’s fish knowledge was awesome to learn more about Walleye and the area.  I would recommend this to everyone that wants a good day at sea!

I booked this for my husband and son. My 10 year old is still, 2 days later, talking about how much fun he had. Captain Frank provided a lifetime memory for my son to look back on with fondness. This is the first time my son has ever been on a fishing boat and Lake Erie.  Plus, he caught his biggest fish so far- a 25# catfish. My son lost one of Captain Frank’s poles and he acted like it was not a big deal. Hearing my son on the phone with his friends makes me wish I could give him more stars. I can’t Thank Captain Frank enough for giving my son his.. BEST DAY EVER!!!!!

Had a great fishing trip with Frank. He was ready to go when we arrived 15 minutes early so we got an early start. We were on thr fish early and ot remained fairly steady. He stayed in contact with several I ther Captains to help them and see if they were getting bigger fosh to help us. Ended up with a limit for my wife and I. I would deffinately go with South of Heaven again!
