The captain and his first mate were prompt and ready when we arrived.  We were put on fish quickly and caught our limit of bluefish early. We continued to fish for Spanish mackerel. The boat was clean and comfortable.  The equipment was in terrific condition.  The first mate did an excellent job teaching us how to manage the rods/reels and letting us take over as much as appropriate.  Very little downtime.  There was one brief lull in the action, and the captain quickly moved us to a more productive area. The captain gave great suggestions for how to process/clean the fish and gave great recommendations on how to prepare the fish for eating.  We had a massive fish bake when we arrived home and everyone enjoyed their meal.  Highly recommend!

This was my 2nd trip in two years with the duo and it was just as great as the first! For the past two years I’ve chartered Bonehead and have taken my family out for a day of fishing, and we’ve loved it. Last year we caught about 10 (Spanish Mackerel & Bluefish) and this year we added even more, 15 in total. The weather (ocean) wasn’t really cooperating due to a rough inlet. But Jimmy and Mitch made the best out of it by staying in the sound and getting plenty of fish on the lines. They even circled back for a lost hat that was blown off the head of my nephew…the true Bonehead of the bunch! Mitch is a blast to talk with when things slow down. If you have questions about fishing and hunting (bear) just ask Mitch, he’s a great guy. Jimmy is as cool as he looks. I’m not sure anything can get him rattled, and Mitch proved it with a few fishing stories. I can’t say enough about the guys other than go ahead and book a trip with them, you won’t regret it. I’ll see them again next year. Thanks fellas!

Captain Jimmy and first mate Mitch are absolutely amazing! This was our first time ever fishing on a charter boat and they made our experience one we will never forget! Mitch was awesome and so personable. We loved his company and he is so knowledgeable! He was great with our 11 year old son and made sure he was having a great time as well.
