Great trip.  Vince was great with our son.  Very knowledgeable and explained everything we were doing in terms an 11 year ole could understand.  We landed 5 salmon including Oliver’s personal best a giant king!

Had a great afternoon out after Coho salmon. Filled our limit in just a couple of hours. Had times when we had more fish on than fishermen.

Did some fishing with the crew off the socks. Not the greatest weather and despite the recommendations to book A summer trip, we went out anyway. I just wanted my dad, who was visiting from California to catch a salmon, which he did. Would have probably caught a few more but I set my 5am alarm for the next day. The captain and crew were patient with us, very knowledgeable in their craft, and left us feeling like one of the boys. They put us on some fish right away and despite loosing a few, we still managed to catch three!! More than happy with our little fishing expedition. With school starting up, I wanted to have one more awesome experience with just “the guys”.  I grew up on Lake Michigan and knew that chartering a boat to catch some big ones would be a great experience for my boys.  I was not disappointed.  I chose to do the 7 hour trip, which started promptly at 5am.  Mark, the captain, was a great communicator and made finding the dock very easy.  He made sure that I had the proper fishing license and he even recommended a hotel for us to stay at, which was a nice touch.  We boarded the boat, which was spotless by the way, at 5:05 and headed out on the Lake, about a 20 minute ride.  Mark and his deck hand, Dave, were very helpful in answering questions and were both excellent with the kids. (11 and 8).  We all felt like part of the team.  Mark and Dave worked very hard to find the best spot to fish and get the lines in the water.  We landed a total of 9 fish.  Two king salmons, 6 Lake Trouts, and one Rainbow Trout.  When we came back to land, Mark and Dave cleaned the fish and bagged them for us to take home.  I’m guessing we have more than 25lbs of meat for the eating.  This was a trip that none of us will ever forget.  Mark and Dave did an excellent job!  I highly recommend that you book a trip with Offshore Fishing Charters.  Thanks Mark and Dave!
