Victoria, we’re sorry you didn’t have an awesome experience which is what we always strive to create for every passenger aboard fishSFbay. The sea conditions the day of your trip were definitely unpleasant and worse then the weather forecast predicted. We understand sea sickness is never fun for anyone and can be very miserable and disorienting. That being said, I do feel I need to correct a couple of the points you made in your review….

1-We have a clean and convenient flush toilet with locking door inside the cabin which was covered in our pre-trip information as well as our onboard morning meeting.

2-The indoor cabin on our 29’ pilothouse has cushioned comfortable seating for all six passengers and is one of the largest cabins of any 6-pack charter boat in our area, as is the rear fishing area which provides ample and comfortable fishing space. It’s true the aft open air fishing area of the boat is purposely left clear of lounge areas and meant for those participating with fishing and/or crabbing.

3- There were 6 passengers the day you were aboard and we want to send each passenger home with the largest crab we can, not just the first 60 keeper size crab we catch so we keep pulling the crab hoops until we feel like our clients have all JUMBO size crab like the ones you took home. We don’t fish to get crab for ourselves, our efforts are always aimed to please our clients as much as we possibly can given the conditions we are dealt by Mother Nature.

I sincerely wish you had a better experience that day and all of us at fishSFbay are grateful for your business and hope you’ll try us again in the future.

No other boats will allow you to arrive late and without a fishing license. We 100% follow the fish and wildlife laws and I’m sorry this irritated you. Also I can’t change the trip duration if you are late and arrive with no fishing license. The trip begins at the specified time, I can’t change the trip duration based on your arrival time. Also I can’t give you a private trip for the price of a shared trip. If you don’t book a private trip there could be other anglers on the boat. Im sorry you feel the way that you do but I do congratulate you on your big fish and happy you were successful.
