Friendly helpful tolerant experienced instructive accommodating

Great trip. Fishing was tough as the Mississippi River was rising. We caught half a dozen. Carson knows the river well.

We started off with boat issues, was told boat leaking oil and had no oil pressure. My son had came down from Texas and was super excited about trip which turned to bad day. Then as we were pulling away Guide calls me back and says he reset the sensor and we good to go. Anyway we went out skeptical now. We did fish a few locations no activity. At one point my son gets tangled up and I had to try and get it undone, which in my experience that has been the guides job right. No, never even offered, he just keep fishing himself While we tried to get it straight, finally when he decided to go to another location did he retie. Trust me I’ve had a lot of guides and this has never happened. If that wasn’t bad enough we didn’t catch a single fish. Maybe one bite, now I’ve had guides say to me if we strike out I’ll take you back out no charge cause that’s a reflection on his performance, nope just collected his money and just said sorry. Over priced compared to others by about 150 for half day. Not worth what I paid. Asked him if we could try for 2-5 lb cats and he said he didn’t know how to fish for those only the monsters. Could’ve went to Kroger and filled my freezer for a fraction of the cost.
