This fishing trip was off the charts. Captain John knows where the fish are. He is a native here in Florida and there’s an exceptional guide and has a passion for fishing, which makes it all the difference. I will definitely be back because JOHN was a phenomenal guide. and I wound up catching more fish than I expected to.

Capt. John grew up in this area his entire life. knows the areas the fish favor. knows the right baits and gives good pointers to help you succeed in catching fish. Friendly on time and prepared. i was totally pleased with the outcome of the day and his efforts to put me on fish. Caught quite a few Peacocks and a were really nice sized ! i had strikes from Clown fish, but missed. propobably due to my inexperience with that type fish.

We enjoyed our two hours with Captain John on Lake Ida and the surrounding canals. Eleven fish caught by the two fishermen in our group. FL fresh water fishing was bit of a learning curve for us (Michiganders), but John provided some pointers that led to more success.

Captain John put us on em at Lake Ida.  He is easy going and very knowledgeable since it’s his own back yard lake. We had a fun time catching lots of peacock bass and tell stories!  We will definitely come back and we already sent info back to friends recommending this captain! My wife caught the first and the 2 biggest!  Awesome to see her light up!  So glad to have many pictures for bragging rights!  Thanks Captain John!
