Exactly what you want from a fishing trip
Communication with the captain was perfect and immediate. He was on time to pick me up and drop me off at the appropriate time. 
The boat ran perfectly, and his navigation skills were excellent. He respected the local laws about speed and wake.  He put me on the fish and short order.  fishing equipment high quality.  Captain was very attentive to make sure that I was positioned properly, with regard to the wind and casting. The bait was fresh and plentiful.
Should I return to this area, I will definitely book another trip with him.

My father and me decided to give son/grandson a fishing trip of his choosing and he picked clown knife/peacock and MahiMahi (another trip). So I choose Jurassic with Captain John for the clown knife. Full disclosure he came with great reviews on Facebook and I chartered through fishing booker.
Negatives first: John needed to bring more water. It was 100 out there and my dad is 70 so more water. And last John invest in a nicer net. 😉
Positives: Well you see the pictures! He got us on the fish right off the bat. Sons second fish was a clown! He kept us baited and took pictures and was just a great guy to fish with. Would no doubt fish with Captain John again. And catching a 7-10lb clown is awesome as they jump out of the water! 5 star no doubt!

What else can I say that 100s of other people haven’t already posted about Capt John. Our recent charter was 3rd week of October 2023, it was my self and 2 of my kids 11yo, 12yo. We caught everything we were after, Large Mouth, Peacock, Stripper Bass and Clown Knife Fish. Capt John is great with the kids and is a master of fishing Lake Ida. We can’t wait to go fishing with him again, 100% recommend hiring him!

Had a great little trip out on the water with Captain John. We literally caught fish the second we stepped on the boat. Kids loved zipping around the lake and under the little bridges. We had time to try a couple spots and we were on fish right away. Our lines were in the water almost the entire length of the trip and we were catching. Will definitely consider another trip with Captain John!

Met promptly nice safe roomy boat and equipment.  He got up early and netted live bait. I will be 87 fished a lot John great clean cut guide knew how to put me on fish. Released a variety mostly feisty Peacock Bass Stripers Largemouth and 1 Crappie. Highly Recommended. Water cloudy did not Fly Fish used Fun lightweight Spin rods. He provided Bait and Water.
