Who wants a freshwater adventure?! Only 2 miles from the coast, you can join Jurassic Park Fishing Charters on the Ida Lake chain. Captain John has been fishing here for over 25 years and wants to share his knowledge with other people. So leave the ocean for a day and come to these calm waters to relax.
You'll be fishing on a 2022 20' Avid Boats bay boat that accommodates up to 4 guests. This boat is powered by a Yamaha Vmax SHO engine and a wireless trolling motor. The best thing is that it takes only a few minutes to reach your fishing spot and start enjoying your trip.
Capt. John is an expert when it comes to catching Clown Knife Fish, Peacock Bass, and Snakehead. You can also go after Largemouth Bass, Crappie, and Hybrid Striped Bass. Choose if you want to target them using light tackle or fly fishing gear. Another advantage you have fishing with this charter
All fishing equipment is covered by the captain but feel free to bring your own if you want. He'll also prepare bottled water but feel free to bring other beverages and snacks. It's recommended to have your hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses with you.

As if catching a ton of fish was not enough, Capt John was amazing. I have done a ton of charters and there is always the chance of catching or not catching, but one thing remains constant regardless. You couldn’t ask for a better host/ captain to spend the day with. That is what I enjoy and is important to me. And Capt John is right up there with the top Captains I have ever went out with. Oh, btw we caught over 25 peacocks and also some largemouth and crappie. Thanks John. Keep up the good work and will definitely be coming back to go out with you fishing in the future.

I took my 13 year old grandson out today on Captain John’s boat, and he caught 3 hybrid stripers with his first 3 casts. After that he caught one more, and then we changed locations and he caught a clown knife fish.
Beautiful morning of fishing, Captain John was a great guide and very knowledgeable and kind . Couldn’t have hoped for a better fishing experience!

John was a phenomenal guide. It’s obvious he grew up fishing Lake Ida. He knew all the right spots and gave us excellent tips. We caught both species we were looking for — peacock bass and clown knife fish!! Our teen was thrilled! Couldn’t have been a better experience. Don’t hesitate booking a tour with John!

What an awesome day on the water! My 13-year-old son and I have had Peacock bass on our bucket list for a while, and Captain John made sure we checked them off! He's super laid back and clearly knows his stuff, getting us straight to where the fish were biting. We really appreciated all his helpful advice and pointers that got us catching. If you're looking to fish in this area, you absolutely need to book with him! We're already looking forward to our next adventure!

If you are looking for a family friendly trip, a Happy Guide that doesn't yell at you, and lots of fish ....then this trip is for you! We had the best day on the water today started out strong with a ton of Peacock Bass,then finished strong with great sized Clown Knife fish ! We caught each fish on our bucket list capt John set out to find all the bucket list fish and we did it! It was a blast and we will definitely go back again next time we visit FL!
