I booked the full day instructional trip with Captain Gilbert. I was having issues transferring from pond hopping to learning how to fish on a lake, and he had some great advice and tips and lessons on how to adjust for lake fishing as well as things to add to my skill set. On top of this, he was extremely friendly, patient, great at explaining things at the different levels I needed it, and easy to get along with! I highly recommend using Captain Gilbert for your next fishing adventure!

Captain Gilbert was a great guide and host, we made a quick last minute trip to Texas and Gilbert went out of his way to accommodate our schedule. He put us on some wholesome Texas Bass! We will definitely book another trip with Captain Gilbert the next time we find ourselves in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

Gilbert was the perfect captain - knowledgeable, kind and patient.  We fished Joe Pool Lake, and it was obvious he knew the lake extremely well.  We caught quite a few bass and had a great time.  He also let us use his trailer to practice towing, where it became clear that the man was simply made to teach.  Whether you are new to fishing or just want to go fishing without any hassle, you can’t go wrong with GTB Outdoors.  We will definitely hire him again.
