GTB Outdoors Captain Gilbert Miller welcomes you to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to spend an enjoyable day on a lake. They offer you a friendly and proficient guide service and, if you are new to the world of angling, on-the-water instruction as well. That means if learning how to Bass fish is your desire, the captain can make that happen. He also offers new boat owners a crash course on how to operate their new boat and go through all the do's and don't. In the learn-how-to-fish, you will go over seasonal patterns, how to read electronics, bait selection with proper rigging, and all the basics up to advanced techniques.
Captain Gilbert was a HS fishing team coach and is well-versed in teaching and working with new anglers. GTB Outdoors's service is unique in itself but can also be customized to your wishes.
Your trip will start on a 20' Skeeter bass boat that can accommodate 2 guests. It is powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine and uses modern Lowrance GPS and fishfinder technology for safe and efficient movement on the water.
You and the captain will go to any lake in the DFW area to fish for Largemouth, Smallmouth, as well as Spotted Bass, all using light tackle. You will be releasing all the fish you catch and you can bring kids on your trip, as long as the small ones are accompanied by an adult. Also, keep in mind that alcohol and smoking are not allowed during the trip.
Captain Gilbert can provide you with rods, reels, and tackle, but you are free to bring your own if you want to. He will also cover you for lures and drinks, meaning you should only bring your licenses and something to eat.

Right off the bat, Gilbert was personable and easy to talk to - even coordinating logistics was easy especially with us booking the day before. The boat was fully loaded and equipped with close to 50 rods and plenty of tackle to figure out what the fish wanted that day. We appreciated him having drinking water and comfortable PFDs. Highly recommend Captain Gilbert for any level of experience as he can accommodate all anglers. My wife was grateful he took extra time to answer questions she had as she's getting more comfortable fishing and getting fish off the hook. Looking forward to our next trip with him.

Such a great experience from start to finish. Gilbert communicated with me from the time I booked and made sure to ask me everything we needed to our trip successful. We ended up switching the time from evening to morning due to temperatures and he was able to accommodate. He was very knowledgeable and taught me and we fished which I appreciated. Captain Gilbert took my son and one of his friends out on Friday for my son’s 19th birthday. The boys had an absolute blast, catching a few great fish during their half-day charter. Captain Gilbert was kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the trip. Leading up to the charter, he was professional and courteous while helping us find the right time and location. I felt it was important to first find the perfect guide, and Captain Gilbert certainly delivered. Once we spoke, choosing the location was easy. Gilbert and Seth were great and went above and beyond! Seth was patient, knowledgeable, and we learned so much more about bass fishing! I would recommend for anyone new to fishing or experienced. Our trip had to be rescheduled due to weather but communication was great and reschedling was smooth. We would definitely return!

Amazing time on the water, Gilbert is a phenomenal guide. From the first-rate equipment to his bass fishing knowledge, our first Texas fishing experience was incredible. He quickly got us up to speed on southern bass and put us on the quality fish we were hoping to catch. The unexpected bonus were all of his intriguing stories that filled the time between fish-on. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
