We had a great time on this beautiful boat. The Captain and Mates were friendly and helpful and made sure that we were comfortable during our trip. We were trying to catch a marlin but were a bit out of season. The fishing was close to the island and the water was beautiful. We did catch a nice Mahi so it wasn’t a total loss. I would call these guy again.

Not the best fishing charter we’ve been on. Was just okay. We stayed on one reef then entire time, which I found a bit odd. Usually, if the right fish aren’t biting, you move to another reef - at least that’s been our experience in the past. The captain and mate were nice enough, but it seemed like they weren’t really interested in being there and I wouldn’t book this charter company again. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good - just sort of “meh”.

Thanks for fishing on strike zone . The spots we choose to fish is where percentages are very high . If they are not bitting , it make the fishing experience difficult all around . We are sorry they where not jumping in the boat that morning. Better luck next time .

Requested deep sea fishing for dolphin, tuna, and marlin when the boat arrived right on time. The weather and seas couldn’t have been better. Keith kept four trolling lines going the whole trip as Captain Jay tried to find the fish. We circle over a large tuna school for an hour without a bite. At the four hour mark without a bite, I suggested we move onto deep drop for something else. We moved onto a bank and had a very light bite there of trigger fish and grunts. We then returned to dock as Captain Jay gave us a nice tour of Nassau’s seas.
I compliment Keith for keeping the bait in the water and Captain Jay for trying to get us on a bite. The trolling gear was in good repair, but I was a little disappointed in the state of the lighter tackle. Ice was also lacking in the fish cooler which seems like an issue in the heat. I know they had to transfer boats, and the boat we received lacked a sonar as well that would have helped during the last portion of the trip.
Overall, it is called fishing not catching no hit on the Captain for that, but I expected more preparation from an experienced crew.

Horrible. Literally said two words to us the entire time. Told the ‘captain’ that we wanted to do all kids of fishing so he set up 4 poles, baited them once and let them fish for four hours. We drove two hours out to sea and two hours back to the dock only to have a ‘sorry, fishing isn’t good today’. They sat in the front in the shade while we were only allowed the back in the sun. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Horrible experience for $700 for two people.

We went deep sea fishing . Just was hoping to catch anything. Pj and Ryan did a great job in trying to get us a fish. We caught a 45lb. Dolphins fish and a small Barracuda. We were over joyed with the catch. Pj and Rayan were great. We talked and laughed and had good interaction. They made us feel comfortable. We had fun. I recommend the Charter to our travel agent.

We went when it was not he big fish fishing season however the crew suggested us to head to a reef. We did and we probably caught 20 fish so it was a great time. Landed a 3 foot Barracuda and that was a great fight! The crew kept everything clean and even when a storm came in they kept right on baiting hooks and helping us reel them in! Great time to be had!!!

When some of our party got sick we had to reschedule at the last moment. The folks at Hunter Charters and the crew of the Morning ride went out of their way to reschedule ... we really appreciated that. Trolling for the larger fish had been really slow so we opted to go bottom fishing so that the grandkids could catch some fish. We did catch a lot of fish .. including one of the larger Trigger fish we or the crew had ever seen. Overall a great trip.

We booked our trip on Hunter charters . Our cruise boat arrived in Nassau Thursday morning at 8.00 am Hunter charters picked us up at the Strawmarket at 8.30. We started fishing just outside the harbor . About 30 minutes later we started catching some nice Mahi Mahi . Our biggest fish was 57 inches long. Capt. Paul and his crew were very accomadating to my family and they did a great job of putting us on the fish. The crew and the boat are top notch. You won’t be disappointed give them a call.

Went for a half day fishing trip with my girlfriend and had an amazing time! Captain Alex was great and the first mate Keith was fantastic. Both very knowledgeable and more importantly hard working. We were out on Feb 28th and had a lot of bites and caught some mackeral and some wahoo.

Great trip to Nassau and wanted to do a fish. Unfortunately we go every year at the same time in September and at the tail end of some of the Big Fish. The 42 ’ Hatteras was down and we were accommodated on a 40’. We fished with Captain Smith’s son and he was a great Captain. If he could of jumped overboard to hook us a keeper I think he would have. See you next year.

It was lots of fun, the captain knew exactly where to take us to catch fish at that time of year and within the time frame we booked our trip. The young man that was on our deck was wonderful. He took care of moving tackle around and kept the deck really clean. It was a great experience!

We were 2 experienced fishing guys and we feel like we got treated like the family just wanting the kids to see a fish. You can’t control nature but for the captain to believe that we’d be happy catching 6” fish means he wasn’t listening when he asked us what we wanted to do. It means he met the requirement, we caught fish. At 1 point he put the big rod out and had 2 big hits on live grunts, CLEARLY it excited us, instead of working that harder he put it away. He also seemed pretty cheap with the bait and chum.

We are sorry for not meeting your expectations, however the bigger boats are the ones that has more opportunities for people that are truly experienced in fishing. This is because the smaller boat targets smaller fish with lighter tackle. Thank you for your review.

The fishing charter- Strike Zone was awesome. I brought my 12 yr old son for a half day trip and boated 4 sharks and probably 20 additional fish while bottom fishing. Great day of fishing!!

While we chartered the “Strike Zone” several months in advance for a deep sea fishing trip in Nassau, we did not get to fish on this boat. On the day of our trip, we arrived at the predetermined pickup area. About 15 minutes after the pickup time had passed an older boat arrived at the dock. I approached the boat and was informed that this was the boat I would be fishing on as my chartered boat “Strike Zone’ was unavailable. No prior notice was given and no further explanation of why the boat I paid for was not available.
We did get to fish on the substitute boat. We had a hook up & lost a small marlin and then caught 1 small Mahi-Mahi. That was the extent of the fishing trip.Be aware that this is not the first time this “Switch” has happened to us in Nassau.

Hello, Strikezone had a mechanical issue that morning. Therefore, we upgraded the boat Morning Ride to accommodate your fishing trip at the same price, which you were able to catch a Blue Marlin (rarely caught at this time of the year) and a Mahi-Mahi, which you we’re able to have prepared and cooked at the Greek Islands. However, Hunter Charters is happy to know you caught fish and had a great time. Thank you for your business and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

Our trip with Captain Paul Smith, mates Jim and Justin was excellent!
We fished in shore and caught a bunch of fish which they cleaned for us.
We asked Paul for a restaurant recommendation, other than the marina restaurant,
which would prepare our fish. He told us of a restaurant in town which was walking distance
from where he would drop us off. The restaurant was excellent, the fish were delicious.

we were not able to do deep sea like we wanted because of weather, but had a decent time on light tackle. Was a little disappointed there was no price difference considering we were suppose to leave at 8am when we go there no boat because they had emailed us but we were aboard the cruise and didn’t have access to email. so we called them the promptly answered and explained the weather. We were bummed we wanted to go fishing so he said we can do light tackle at 10 am for same price. I thought it would be a discount I mean we waited for 2 more hours and it we didn’t catch as many as I had hoped, but overall captain and crew did their jobs. Experienced well organized and we had a pretty good time. Even if it rained a little lol!

Had a great time. Had captain’s son paul smith Jr as captain. strike Zone had a mechanical issue that day so that substituted different boat (Morning something can’t remember full name). Was perfect as was just my son and I. Captain and mate worked really hard to get us on fish. Caught 2 beautiful trophy mahi’s, baracuda, small tune and the story of the day was when my 15 yearold hooked a huge shark and brought him to the bioat then we released. Awesome day and well worth the 4. since they didn’t have the boat we reserved they even gave me a 100 discount without me saying a word. son’s comment - dad when can we come back. Fished 7/1/14
