You’ll be fishing on the ‘Strike Zone’, a 38’ Defender Express which can comfortably accommodate parties of up to 6 anglers per trip. The boat is fully air-conditioned and features both inside and outside seating. It is equipped with three fighting chairs on board from which to fight big fish with, outriggers, as well as an array of navigational technology, including GPS, radio as well as Fishfinder. As for onboard facilities, the vessel features a bathroom with toilet and shower, as well as an air-conditioned cabin that includes table seating, and a fridge and sink.
Nassau is a popular fishing destination for vacationing anglers, primarily due to a colorful mixture of both inshore and offshore game fish frequenting its waters. Join Captain Tony Wells and crew, and they will get you chasing Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi (Dorado), Tuna, Barracuda, Snapper, Grouper, and others. Capt. Tony will provide your group with all the necessary fishing equipment (mainly Shimano and Penn International tackle is utilized), as well as artificial bait.

Having been a long time fisherman myself including having a brother who was in the Alaskan fishing charter business, Hunter Charters is by far the worst fishing charter business I have ever encountered. From dealing with the Captain who gave us information to meet the boat at the Bay Shore Marina, when in fact, the boat was at the Straw Market dock to having a filthy, unsanitary boat (urine and feces water in the toilet), no soap or paper towels to dry hands, and a drape placed on the floor to the toilet entrance to sop up leaking water. The crew took us out in extremely choppy waters, there was only one fighting chair and hardly any place to stand in the back of the boat for 6 people. The boat was not the one we reserved and had long seen better days of servicing fishermen, as the inner decor was dated, stained, torn furniture and a refrigerator door closed by a igloo. The crew displayed hardly any interest in fishing and upon returning demanded their balance payment in cash only, contrary to the website booking saying credit cards could be used. They had no paperwork to verify who were and proceeded to charge us a larger balance than owed. Lucky for us we had our paperwork and were able verify what we owed. And on a last note, the crew made no effort to clean our fish and they left with the paltry catch we had. Beware all fishermen surely there are better places in the Bahamas!
