If you want to catch fish Captain Tommy will put you in the fish.

This boat does NOT go out of Destin Harbor as promised.  Was asked to go to Shalimar and then Ft Walton to launch.  Very inconvenient.  Start time changed because they had to get a different boat.  Felt like my 3/4 day trip was switched from the first boat so they could use that one to book 2 half day trips with someone else to make more money.  Captain was nice, but we didn’t catch but one snapper we could keep.  How hard is it to find red and vermillion snapper like I requested.  Felt as though we were fishing public numbers.  I was very disappointed in this trip.

First the boat…there was a problem with the motor that had us a bit worried leaving out from port in rough surf, but it did get us there and back.  We spent over half the trip just trying to get to the spots to catch fish.  We did not spend much time bait fishing as the seas were too rough for the boat to sit still and had most of bait left.  We trolled a good bit with only 1 fish taken during that time.  On a positive note I was able to hook into a very nice King when we did stop briefly.  Equipment was a bit dated and the open face reels have to be manually indexed when reeling.  Capt Tommy was pleasant to me but a bit rough with my crew…who are both in their 30’s.  Lastly, after several requests (both email and text) for the pictures taken, I gave up asking…so I really cannot recommend this charter…

Sorry guys Tommy is nice guy ( so my husband says ) but yelled at me , my sister and nephew. No call for that Because we don’t fish like my husband does who had a great time ( working ) baiting our hooks and helping us . Motor was smoking so bad it smelt bad all the time . Horribly slow ride the entire time . Took forever to get to “ the spot “ . More time riding then fishing . My husband said he was having engine issues , so why are you taking people out if your equipment is inadequate ? Fishing booker and their website ( trip information ) said they would provide drinks . Nothing was offered the entire time ,(  5 hours ) so take your own because they don’t provide drinks . He wanted us there to start at 6am but didn’t start fishing until 9 or 9:30 , took forever to get ready to go then forever to get there . My husband is way to nice for paying what he did . 5 went out and only one ( my husband ) would again ! Have fun it was not for what we experienced and caught . Ladies beware but just being honest .
