They call it fishing, not catching, for a reason and I know it is not only about the catch. All things being equal though, and I have used enough guides to feel comfortable saying that, it was expensive for the relatively short amount of time on the water and we came in with only one red and one trout.

Put us on a limit for trout and caught a bunch of fish

Will put us on fish as soon as it was light enough to see and it didn’t let up until the time was up! Then, just for fun, he showed us some endangered Whooping Cranes on the way back to the dock. Great day, great guide.

My husband & I had a great time and we’re able to catch a good amount of fish. He was knowledgeable, friendly and gave me a few pointers. Everything was taken care of for us to enjoy the experience!

I should know better than to charter in the middle of August in S. Texas, but it was my son’s birthday.  That said, it was still a nice trip.  Capt. Will’s boat was clean and in good shape.  Will is a nice, pleasant captain who was patient with us tourists.  We had plenty of bait and we covered a lot of geography in our fishing odyssey.  The fishing was not great in productivity [nobody’s fault - weather] but we enjoyed our trip and I’ll call Will again when we return to Rockport...
