Let me tell you about Capt. Smiley and the awesome trip we had. Let’s make note of the 16-18 mph gusts also, because the day we went out, we knew fishing would be tough, but Capt. Smiley guided us into some nice calm inlets and cuts way in the back of St Charles and made a less than ideal fishing condition day into a box full of fish! Not only did we almost limit out one species, my son caught his first ever bull red @ almost 30 in that we turned into a feast of a lunch right off the water.... More

A stiff East wind had a pretty good chop going on Aransas bay, but Capt. Will got us across to some more protected areas quite comfortably. The bite was off early, but we managed to find a few keepers. The bite finally picked up late, and we ended up with a good catch including black drum, redfish, trout, and flounder. Great boat and equipment. Great service! Will look him up when we fish Rockport again.
