Captain Cody hooked us up to get some flounders. He was very experience and able to find anything in the water. I had a difficult time because its my first trip gigging, but he was able to show us where to go and helped find them. When things got murkier, he took us out to do red fishing. Under 30 minutes, we caught two bullreds and two slot reds! It was definitely a great experiences for the 4 hours we booked. You are guaranteed to get great fish with Captain Cody.

Captain Cody was awesome.  Very polite, knowledgeable, informative, professional and worked very hard for me and my son.  We went to different fishing spots, always had lines in the water and ended up catching about 20 fish.  Kept a really nice trout that he filleted for us afterwards so we could take to a local restaurant and eat for lunch.  Next time we are there to fish, will be setting up a charter with him. We definitely recommend Captain Cody.

Captain Cody was very patient with us even though we weren’t fluent in English. He taught us how to fish in a very polite and humorous way so that we could fully enjoy fishing.

In order to make it easier for us to understand, he did his own research during the trip and gave us instructions even in Japanese. MAKE! MAKE! POPPU! lol

He also fileted the fish for us and we could eat deliciously cooked fish at the restaurant he introduced to us.

Captain Cody Phillips kept us on the fish all day from first light to sundown.

We caught two limits of Keeper Reds for meat and afterward we probably released another three keeper sized limits and 20 to 25 redfish, drum and trout that were slightly under size limits.

Captain Cody Phillips is the best inshore guide I have ever fished with. His technique is near flawless as is his instinct for finding and staying on the fish regardless of weather patterns and fish movements

We had an amazing, safe, fun, humor filled, cooler filling time like we always do with Cody.

Captain Cody Phillips is in my opinion, the King of San Leon.

From Galveston to Houston I would much rather fish inshore with Captain Cody Phillips than any other inshore or nearshore guide.

Every trip we catch keepers and limits or near limits.

Almost no catfish or whiting. Just Reds, Black Drum, Trout and Flounder constantly.

Every location, every trip, every hour, NEVER a dull moment. Never an empty live well and we catch fish with Captain Cody rain or shine.

I highly recommend Cody to fishermen of any and all experience levels.

I’ve been fishing all my life since i was a toddler (literally) and at my age of 55 Captain Cody Phillips at 35 is still teaching me how to improve my instincts, techniques & consistency.

If available, you better book Cody FAST, he is booked almost every day, multiple times per day in all seasons.

Cody Phillips is the best damned inshore guide I have ever used, especially from Galveston Bay to Houston. I keep trying others but that is because Cody is so heavily booked and I’m always looking for “backups” to Cody due to my availability. So far, no one has come close.

Some are very good, Cody is GREAT!!! Most couldn’t carry his tackle-box. He truly is rhe King of San Leon.
