I booked via fishingbooker.com with a minimal $82 charge held on my PayPal until fishbooker confirmed the boat I selected was available. Once it was all confirmed- $82 was charged to my PayPal and I paid the rest in cash at the boat. I was able to book last minute and my sons and I fished the next morning.

I selected “Fishing Al Gusto” and what a blessing it was. I received a text asking a few questions (how many people and ages) and then spoke to the owner on the phone. He walked me through everything making the process seamless.

A 5min taxi ride from our Playa Del Carmen Hotel to Coco Beach, we were met by Daniel (who recognized my sons and I by what the owner & I discussed) who walked us to our boat.

Our captain was Carlos and 1st mate was also Carlos. They had everything ready for us to push off by 7am. As Carlos drove us out, Carlos was tirelessly working, setting up 5 fishing lines. Within 2hrs I was pulling in my first ever fish; a 5lb Mahi. My sons also caught Mahi so we were set for the Carlos’ to make us fresh cevichi while we snorkeled at a reef.

I booked a 3/4 day fishing/snorkeling and I couldn’t be happier.

All we had to bring was swim trunks, sun/water shirts, sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. The Carlos’ had everything else for us (drinks, fishing lines, bait.). Bring snacks because if you don’t catch fish- you will not eat!

The best part of the trip was the fresh ceviche they made with our Mahi we caught. Even my 13yr old asked for seconds!!!

What a great experience for our first time fishing!

Even though I speak Spanish, the Carlos’ spoke to by sons in English so communication is not a problem!

n the 1st 30 minutes a grunt and. Banana….then the big boy….was amazing thw s called fishing not catching for a reason…but itday was a success would totally book again.

We started off the charter at 6:45am because we got their early. Then we started trolling for big fish for about 2 hours but only got a couple bites with no fish yet. Then we bottom fished and we caught 2 vermillion snappers and an amberjack. We then went snorkeling and it was so beautiful. We trolled on the way back and made our way back to the beach. Crew was nice and had everything we needed.

Great experience trolling fishing, even if it was a tough fishing day the team doesn’t stop and put into it a great effort and this brought us to a great result! Great team great service great experience! Recommended !
