- Background
- I have always loved to fish since I was very young. I was fishing any pond or creek I could find. My grandfather started an RV park on Sanibel in the late '60s which is still there and operating today. We visited here all my life while growing up and I finally moved here permanently in 1991. Even though I have been fishing in the Sanibel area for over 30 years, I still get excited when I catch a nice fish! Snook, Redfish, Trout, and Triple Tail are my favorites.
- Techniques
- I prefer artificial lures over live bait... depending on the targeted species. All I need is a Top Water Plug and a Soft Plastic setup and I'm good for the day. With artificials, I can cover more water in less time. Whereas the live bait likes to go where it wants! There is nothing like seeing your topwater lure getting crushed first thing in the morning! My favorite!
