If you want to catch a ton of fish, go with Brian!

Half Day Trip – Back Bay (AM)3 adults

We found Brian on a whim, searching the internet for a charter. Brian did not disappoint. He brought us to two different spots with a lovely boat ride in between. My sons are intermediate (probably closer to novice) fishermen-don’t tell them I said so lol. Brian had the utmost patience in explaining and teaching the boys how to catch fish, bait their lines, and cast correctly. My son wanted to catch a monster snook, and snagging that monster snook was no doubt due to Brian’s patience and expertise. During our charter we probably caught close to 30 fish (probably more), it was non stop action. And these were not small fish, mostly snook and a few other species in between. If you want to catch a ton of fish and get a good lesson on all the ins and outs of salt water fishing, go with Brian. You’ll be just as happy as we are, that you did ❤️.

    Memories

Half Day Trip – Back Bay (AM)3 adults

If you want to actually catch fish, relax, and have a genuinely great time on the water, this is exactly it. From the start, the focus was on making sure everyone was engaged, learning, and reeling something in. No pressure, no ego-just a fun, easygoing atmosphere where Captain Brian clearly cared more about the experience than the size of the catch. And honestly, that made it better. We caught plenty of fish, stayed busy, and had a lot of laughs along the way. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and knew how to keep things moving so nobody was just sitting around waiting. Whether you’re experienced or brand new, they meet you where you are and make sure you enjoy it. At the end of the day, we left with great memories, plenty of action, and zero stress about who caught the biggest fish. That’s a win in my book. Highly recommend if you want a fun, laid-back fishing trip that delivers.

    Family Adventure A+

Half Day Trip – Back Bay (PM)5 adults

Captain Brian was excellent!!! Communication prior to trip with meeting location, time and details were appreciated. He was excellent with our kids (16,15,14) Captian Brian was thorough at explaining things and so fun to be around. I particularly appreciate that he was family oriented and worked so hard to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the trip. He targeted specific areas to catch different species and we had great success! Our family really enjoyed our trip and would certainly look them up again when we’re in town and looking for a charter.

Christmas Eve Fishing Adventure Must Do

    6 Hour Trip – Offshore/Nearshore3 adults

1st, shout out to Captain Brian. He was so great. This was our first fishing trip and he totally led us through a day of fun. My husband and our 20 year old son had the best Christmas gift spending 5 hours on the water, catching fish and learning a lot of valuable knowledge. Great experience for the money. All the dolphins were an unexpected surprise for this Momma.

2022 Fishing Heating Up!

Feb 1, 2022 • Naples
2022 has brought in the winter bite. Offshore big King Mackerel, Cobia, Sharks and Sheephead have started to move into the local reefs. Backwater we have been getting a consistent bite with nice Snook, Redfish and Trout as well as other species. Due to red tide over the past few years departure location is key since some areas of Naples and surrounding waters have recovered better than others. We suggest to be flexible with the departure location so you get the best trip possible. Having the ability to move boats gives you the best chance of having an amazing trip. We always suggest the best departure location based on what we have seen over the last few days prior to your trip. Offshore water temps have cooled bringing the big King Mackerel and Sheephead into the local reefs which Cobia and Sharks follow. No need to run 20 miles offshore, right now we have been fishing the natural and artificial reefs between 5 and 9 miles out with lots of action. When booking any charter tide is key to your success. We see people typically book a morning spot the majority of the time but if the tide isn't moving the bite can be very poor. We suggest when booking offshore, you want to start at the end of an incoming tide so you can fish the start of the outgoing tide. Backwater is best to fish the last few hours of the incoming tide through the first few hours of the outgoing tide. We have a large fleet of boats and Captains which work together relaying information as well as we have dive boats giving us a huge advantage since we know where the most productive reefs are. We also have helicopter tours which fly over the coastal areas we fish relaying information of fish migrations they see from the air. I hope this information helps you when booking your trip. At CruiseFishDive we put alot of work into making sure you have a successful day. Capt. Mark Garcy

Mid March 2020 Report

Mar 14, 2020 • Naples
The bait is back and the bite is on fire. If your looking for drag screaming action then now is the time. Make sure to speak with your captain before booking to select the best time to go. This is critical to your success. Tide is everything and also being where the bait is. Huge sharks, smoker kings, drag ripping bonito, cobia and much more are what we are catching offshore now. I wouldn't even consider backwater for a few years until the fish have time to recover from the red tide event we had almost three summers ago.

February Fishing Wiggins Pass Naples

Feb 6, 2020 • Naples
Reel 1 Up is the only fish and dive operation with over 20 years on the water in the Gulf of Mexico which is why we get the results. The bite over the last two weeks has been nothing short of stellar. Threadfin herring bait balls have been present in decent numbers close to shore out to five miles depending on tide. Typically most local reefs and wrecks have been holding bait and a good variety of fish ranging from reef and pelagic species. We have seen good numbers of large Bonita, Kings have been spotty, a good number of sharks and several species ranging from blacktips (landed a 7ft 130lb) Tiger (600lb) lots of baby blacktips, cobia and plenty of Jack Cravell and a mixed bag of reef fish. Things should hold steady as long as the water temps stay consistent and the bait stays around
